This game is like an ugly woman with a smoking hot body. You can have fun for a little while, but in the morning, do you really want to wake up to that mug?
I have the game on steam. Don't want to play it. I knew I wouldn't like the combat, but bought it anyways because of the story line. But found myself kitting monsters around for 20 minutes was not fun to me. I just keep having to kill 5 or 6 at a time, and that is not fun. I want to slay and collect loot. Not take 15min trying to kill 3 guys.
He is not a good fighter, that´s why he thinks that vitality upgrades are important... The rolling 200% skill makes possible to play without being hit. And spending points on vigor makes Gerald deadlier.
the game is dash and slash and it will came end of the year with mass effect and Skyrim withwe will not live with them
I already finished this game, it gets a lot easier at the end of act I when you get some decent gear. I love the fact that its pretty hard, sometimes you can't win just by swinging your sword, you have to use every tool in order to survive.
hey hrothgar99 the game is out in india and available for preorder on www.nextworld.in i have talked to them and preordered the premium edition which they say will be available within the week.try it they have a large collection of games.
Hit, roll, hit, roll, hit, run, roll run, hit, roll again. The graphics might be stunning but the combat is boooring.
Next time, get someone who can actually pronounce half the English language correctly. Kurtis botched so many words it hurt to listen to him after a while. As for the game itself (not owning it yet), the video was both useful, and disappointing at the same time. It looks like melee is the primary combat skill in the game, supported by alchemy and magic. That makes it more of a true European RPG, in that they believe much more in physical combat as opposed to magical. That in itself is going to put off a lot of Westernized RPG fans, though it will appeal to a large number of console gamers. Compare this to something like Oblivion's combat, and Oblivion comes out much more versatile. On the flipside, it is much easier to balance a more simplistic system like W2's, making the combat more challenging in Witcher 2. Hence the reason I said "useful and disappointing". Personally however, I would pick diversity of combat over pinpoint balance every time, which firmly places TES5 at the top of my list for this year.
From what I've heard from people on this site, this game is pretty much amazing. But my PC can't run it :(
@ neosword- Every legal purchase of The Witcher/2 came/comes with a strategy guide, physical and digital copies alike. Basically, if you (legally) own the game, you already have a guide.
just a tip, get use to using the mouse and keyboard for this game. Just like you like FPS games with a mouse. This game really needs a mouse for precision too, the controller makes it SO much harder. The mouse is necessary for speed and accuracy. You really need it in this game.
i love making weapons,i just made a cutlass,it,s the best iron sword so far,you can make it in the town, ofter the chase when tris put that Big force field over everyone like that girl in ME2,...............and DraKKuLL007 you can,t distribute the points in prologue, you can distribute them ofter you get out of the jail cell and there ofter, just press Ctrl and you magic/sign menu will come up,then you will see meditation in the middle press enter are space bar to distribute the points, you can meditate any were don't need no camp fire this time around, just make sure no enemies isn't around, the other skill trees will unlock ofter certain level, sorry for the letter i hope you get the helps you need some were in there.
Question, I have 2 talent points, but cannot assing any of the skills on the tree... there's some limitation?! Cos I still on prologue... ( working right now... )
A small tip too, is when you have the Shield buff on, ur Vigor regens very slow so try using shield when on 1v2 situations, If more, try using the Jedi mind trick ability and the ground trap ability in conjunction with fire/stun, try not using shield too much as it dents ur vigor regen and you find urself stuck when u need it the most, since shield is great for 1-2 attacks Also finding a good bleed/poison weapon trumps all +dmg weapons. (sorryi have not fully memorized the signs rofl) also if you find yourself overwhelmed, use your envionment to kite,
yeap, really solid tips, ive gone a similar path with my skill tree, have to say this is a great game, some much fun, challenging gameplay and a deep rich storyline = win for me.
Playing on Hard Difficulty, I manage to die on every new enemy I encounter. Trying a second time I realize that it's not... impossible, Witcher 2 is so versatile, it's amazing.
