Start/Select - iPod Touch v3, MAG, Gridrunner
In this week's Start/Select, we take a look at the sheep-loving action in Gridrunner, take on MAG's multiplayer, and see if the iPod Touch is as good a gaming device as Apple says it is. Plus, win copies of Resident Evil 5 on the PC!
lately, the iphone has been my life with my other console being just Wii,wich nintendo is now calling a flawed system...but i still play ssbb with my friends
Can't say that's sold me on the iPod/iPhone as a gaming platform. You still spend far too much time with your fingers all over the screen so you can't see what's going on. Not for me.
ill wait untill the 4th gen, ill get the touch when it has a video camera, better battery life, and more than 120gb.
MAG sounds like a great concept though so did Enemy Territory and that just did not live up to expectations. Fingers crossed
MAG seems so badass it's ridiculous, living up to all of the info that I heard about it earlier this year. And the iPhone 3G isn't as bad as it is made out to be on here. I use it for quite a lot of gaming, and it's seriously good.
If I could get an animated GIF of Guy licking his hand I would have a new profile pic right there. Sorry, Blanka.
It's good to see something about the iPhone/iPod Touch. I really think it should be taken seriously as a gaming console, the games are a great price (about $5 for a game with as much depth as some DS games), and the graphics are brilliant.
just because it dosnt have good graphics dosnt mean eanythink (look at the wii) its not how it looks.
lmfao how can it be considered a gaming console if it cant even render basic graphics properly??? no way its gonna render special effects like in chains of olympus. maybe if it were 500% faster it would atleast stand a tiny chance.
1 thing he got wrong was, you were able to play other maps on MAG. But they change it every so often so you dont get bored but it's a really addictive game.
I have a PS3 and from experience I know for a fact that most people don't have a mic on the PSN so I'm still VERY sketchy at how the command structure, in-game, will work. So Unless they sell EVERY single game with a headset I'm not getting it until I see a large amount of good reviews for it. I mean I really want it to be good, but I'm not holding my breath in anticipation, as I may suffocate. ;-p
