Star Fox 64 and Mickey's Speedway USA - Megabit Highlights
Maxwell McGee dusts off his N64 for some Arwing action in Star Fox 64. Tom and Carolyn also take a look at a much forgotten racer by Rare: Mickey's Speedway USA.
Yes! The outro is back.
Being a PC only gamer, I don't have many great console memories of old games like these; but I do remember playing some games like Star Fox, Mario Kart, Crash Bandicoot, and Mario 64 at friends' houses or at the dentist's waiting area.
However, I am lucky that I can play my personal 20-year old classics, as well as modern games, on the same hardware.
That GameSpot review of Mickey's Speedway USA was written by Shane Satterfield (former editor-in chief at GameTrailers btw) who gave it a 7.5
"With 20 tracks, four battle arenas, and a plenitude of hidden characters and cheats to unlock, Mickey's Speedway USA has enough substance to keep even the most dedicated kart racing fanatics coming back for more."
I wish i had my Nintendo 64, i miss so much the Rare games and the golden age of platformers. And why Nintendo doesn't release a new Star Fox?
I really want a new Banjo, Conker, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, i know that the last two are not from N64, but you know what i mean.
Activision is a joke, look what they've done with these amazing franchises, and Rare nowadays is nothing compare to the "rare old times".
I never played Mickey's Sppedway, looks fun. Mario Kart 64 is a classic, i also liked Diddy Kong Racing.
