S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky Gameplay Movie 1
Stalking the enemy in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.
@ChoiMein Hey, you're right, whoever was playing really stank at this game. And in defense of my previous comment; I wasn't watching in HD :P
@Mike_skull You have to take into account whoever recorded this video is an idiot and wasn't showing anything of merit within the game... You also have to take into account that this game is an expansion. It is not "Stalker 2" or anything, so the graphics and crosshair and blah blah will all be pretty much the same to the first game, which if you'd played, you'd agree (more than likely) that it is an awesome engrossing game, worthy of taking a look at it's sequel. :P
@OverlordEX actually if you watch a little more carefully you'll notice that the person who's playing completely misses the person despite the fact they are at point blank range... the 4th shot you saw was actually the only shot that connected with the baddy..
that was kind of unrealistic, the guy at the end took at least 4 shotgun blasts before he went down!
To all those questioning the AI - that guy reloading was doing the same thing as the player! They both fired off 2 shots and had to reload, the only way to have made that sequence more realistic would be for the enemy to launch into close combat with a knife i guess.
somehow i start to believe that it aint the player that fails to hit the enemies but the game it self!
Why release a video like this? Is it meant to get us excited? The graphics is the best thing about it, which already spells bad game. Even so, I didn't find it better looking than, say, Crysis or the previous STALKER. The AI looks non-existent. The cross-hairs, sounds and character animations look poor. I would like to say something bad about the inventory, but I guess everyone likes different stuff. I for one think that it breaks the illusion, even though theoretically it's more realistic. That's my take on it. But hey, I've only watched the videos. Maybe if I hadn't seen these videos I would think about buying the game.
Awesome shooting in the video, the player was in front of the enemy with a shotgun... and he'd miss (2 times)... the game is too realistic and its hard, this gameplay was on easy for sure. The atmospheric things in this game are so nice that every other game looks like disneyland. you cant judge this game for this bad gameplay
Even the gameplay snippets are putting me to sleep. Two armed men standing there, nonchalantly reloading their guns at each other's feet. Zzzzzzz..........man I wanted to like this game (the original), and I've tried repeatedly to return to it on my PC to finish it. But having to eat bread in the middle of a gun battle or else starve to death? I'm getting bored again.....
of course that guy sucked.LOL,anyway i would really love 2 see a STALKER game on the PS3.(or maybe even on Xbox)
to ppl saying the AI sucks; in SoC, i was amazed by some of their group tactics and the way they flank. but ive also noticed some quirks... but in this video the AI guy that "just stands there" is reloding.. he has the same shotgun as the player, its not animated tooo well, but its obvious its reloading
I really hope these horrible gameplay videos don't turn too many people off of this game. The original was hands down the best FPS experience I've had in a long, long time. Sure COD4 has better graphics, but STALKER was downright creepy all the way through and the gameplay was much better in my opinion. Having the freedom to roam the environments and never knowing when a pack of wild dogs or enemy patrol is going to show really keeps you on your toes and makes everything more exciting and the game feels very alive. People complaining that the graphics look dated are completely missing the point. Plus, what this game might lack in eye candy it will more than make up for it in atmosphere.
LMAO who is the idiot who missed at point blank range. This one looks better than the first, lets just see if it plays better too.
The game looks promising, but the videos are below par...anyone who thinks the game itself is bad doesn't know much, in my opinion, and is just 'judging the book by its cover'
What Stalker does, better than any other FPS since HL2, is make you feel like a very real person in a very real world. A naturalistic/realistic approach to weather/time cycles, ballistic modeling, and overall gameplay. Give it a try before you make fun b/c it's got a lot of good things in it.
I agree with Hantak. You can't judge a game until you've played it first. It may look "crap" or "look like it plays bad" but when you play the game you might be pleasantly surprised.
a comment on this video... people who havent played the previous STALKER game dont notice some of the stuff this new version has to offer, so ill give ye some pointers... STALKER is a FPS in wich the weather and the enviroment plays a greater rol than in other FPS. so u got to pay more attention to those factors, for example the wind can affect the grass so it can make foes notice ye while ye approach. the guns u use can get stucked wich can place ye in a very bad spot. enemies act different if theyre more and depending on the situation. the person playing took several shots that should have killed anyone if playing in mid or higher difficulty. and yes... u can hit ur foes when ure close to em with certain pistols, like in MOH. Anyway. yeah the person playing sucked but still is just to give ye mates a peak of this game... so my advice to any gamer... u cant judge and entire title for 3 minutes of gameplay and first of all YOU got to play it to judge it...
Who just stands there and watches someone reload - and then gets blasted away? Dumb AI, if you ask me.
dude oct2292 everything you just complained about was IN STALKER! there was 3 diff. ammo types for shotgun (buck/slug/dart) adn the pistols had ironsights.. this game should also have ammo types, but idk if the pistols will have sights. hope they might - but at least other guns will.
is reticles/ironsights an OPTION in the game? b/c crysis had that option, and if u like reticles better, i guess that's cool.
I agree, this person does not move...he doesn't seen to shoot well also..he miss the bandit close-up.
what was up with that shot gun taking so long to kill the guy (and reload)its like you have to be dead center on the guy or you miss...im still waiting for the FPS where you can change your type of shot (bird, buck, slug, etc.) and what's up with the no irionsights or scope??? I hate the games where theres no iron sights on the pistols...thats one of the things i hated about farcry
Yup  !!! I shoot you , noo i shoot you, bang (miss) bang(miss) ok reloading (Hmm i like this old truck thanks to the guy who put it here so i can take cover and reload my shotgun cuz i forgot my glasses in Prypiat and can't see at 1 m in front of me!)ok i am done reloading, i shoot you arguing starts again, bang (oaaaahhh)OWNED !!! LOL i laughed so hard at the end :)!!!
considering STALKER's horrible gunplay mechanics, I don't blame this guy for missing at point blank with his shotgun, say all you want about the atmosphere, getting into a gun fight in the first game was just pathetic compared to so many other games. It's not clever to make it so your gun misses a certain % of the time when you are dead on your target, it's not realistic, it's frustrating.
lol, that last part of the gun battle was completely hilarious. i sincerely hope you can run up to somebody and melee instead of just looking at each other for like 5 seconds while you both idiots reload and miss--twice!
It's a stand-alone prequel expansion. It's not STALKER2, guys. You're expecting too much. The real improvements will be in the gameplay and AI tweaks as well as environmental and atmospheric additions like Blowouts (disabled and unfinished in the first one, yet activatable), actual darkness at night (again moddable in the first one, but night gunfights without headlamps or NV using only lightning and muzzle flashes is one of the funnest gameplay experiences ever), and invisible anomalies with detectors (also present but disabled in SoC). If you have STALKER SoC, download STALKER REDUX mod if it's still up to date, or most any other realism mod pack for new fun.
I am really bummed to see how much they retained from the first one (sounds, visuals, mechanics). I loved the first one but it had a lot of flaws. I just thought this one would look more advanced and polished but it looks nearly identical to the original, perhaps with slightly different content.
Does GSC think that weapon lower/rise sound is cool or something? It sounds so damn stupid, like sliding a glass along a table or something.
