After playing the new SSX, sadly, 3 will probably stay the best SSX ever made and remains one of the best overall games in my opinion. Character Customization, Course Design, graphics, control, the interactive soundtrack, the mountain as a big lobby, challenges, exploring. Most aspects have been in other titles but nowhere comes it all together as seamlessly and expertly done like this. Sheer fun!
I loved this game! I was playing it when I was seven! I love playing this game and beat it several times, sadly my bro sold it! ;(
SSX comes out tomorrow on PS3 and XBOX360! Can't wait!!! I played the hell out of this game and I still play it today. @dracothekitty get it. it's the best SSX game of the last generation, IMHO
@dracothekitty Y E S. Most people (myself included) consider On Tour crap by comparison to 3 and Tricky. No, it doesn't have create-a-rider, and that's for the better. The only area where On Tour beats 3 is in it's sense of speed--everything else is far superior in 3.
I've always wondered what the SSX franchise is like. Looks pretty fun to me. I enjoyed playing some of the Tony Hawk's games, back in the day, when they were on the PS2, Xbox, and GC. Now that EA's bringing back the SSX franchise, I just might have to play the newest title. Hopefully, everything feels very much the same and isn't dumbed down in any way.
Best snowbording game ever made, best in the series. I wish they could somehow restore/improve this for the ps3 or xbox360
One of the greatest games, ever. Sad that it isn't so widely recognized. And also it's a shame that there isn't a X360 or PS3 sequel.
Just picked this game up while trolling for some last gen bargains because I never played any of these games in their time. Have to say for $6 this is an incredibly fun little game. Like the review says, some really good graphical effects and a really fun over the top trick system. All through the game there are just little moments that make you say 'Nice'. Good light hearted, refreshing title.
To Kaelys9: If you're deciding one game out of the 3 ps2 SSX games, I'd go with the 3rd. SSX3 doesn't feel outdated like the first 2 in terms of graphics. Plus it's got everything the other 2 have AND MORE!
It's a real shame that there's no word of a current gen sequel (besides blur). I've gone back to this game so many countless times and i never tire of it :) *sigh* You can only hope i guess !
Yeah, gief SSX3 for the PS3, all I want is a graphics upgrade and getting rid of any loading times, maybe throw in a second and third mountain and OPTIONAL sixaxis trick controls.
Its really suprising why EA Big hasnt made a new SSX for the current platforms. This series absolutely trumps any other sports game in my opinion.
