I hate trailers that give away plot twists..wtf is up with 1:44 that would've been a cool surprise now it's ruined. Thanks Ubi.
After playing all such games ( Ghost Recon FS , Splinter Cell Conviction , Spec Ops the Line and other stealth games ) I wonder , are there really any people who have such particular set of skills like killing silently and that all ?
Couldn't they have done like 343 industries in Halo and hire a different guy to do the mo-cap stunts and a different to do the mo-cap voice (Michael Ironside)??
Common Ubi...I can look past the fact that Sam Fisher is like 60 years old yet getting lighter and more agile than ever. I can even accept that instead of using krav maga as Sam's go to CQC system like in Conviction, you used some MMA crap no field operative would ever bother trying to use just to look fancy and cool...but I don't get that you couldn't have a stunt man to do what old Ironside obviously cannot. Ugh this still looks good though. Hopefully for the next SC they bring back Ironside and rehire my Montreal krav maga instructor to do proper combat techniques.
Sam Fisher didn't just get 30 years younger, he has also lost about 200 pounds, he's that fast and silent when running around without causing any ruckus.
They should stop using these lights on Sam Fisher's goggles and clothes to make it more realistic. I just can't take that the enemy can't see you when it's dark even though you have two FLASHLIGHTS above your head.
Ubisoft please give me a dloadable DEMO of this game so that i can decide if it's good? Now i have the money and since this is coming end of this month and since it's actually looking to be first quality game in few years, i would be happy to support it by preordering it but give me DEMO so i can be certain of it's quality.
hey melon head at the end, didn't your mother ever teach you never to point a gun at people. if i was Fischer's partner, ole melon head would be in pain about right now... sam fischer, you are the bomb and i am pre ordered this game because i love you guys at Ubisoft and i LOVE you, Sam... when you get out of ole shiny head's grasp, jam your knife right into his bald headed skull and put a couple of bullets into his body....
i must apologize if what i said offended any of you....
and to think i was going to see some gameplay footage, lol.
let's hope the game has a "hardcore" mode with lots of toggles and/or, at least, no hand-holding or dumbing-down.
We gamers know from a lot of games, that pre-ordering is a waste of money (just in-case the game turns out to be utter crap). But I'm guessing people will fall for that marketing gimmick. Working with DLC's is the way.
> From some Splinter Cell trailers I realize that it want to say and show something that is not true about my country ( Im an Iranian and UBI soft showing Iranian terrorists?!? Do You think I am a terrorist ? ) and in other hand the existence of USA and protecting this land is not something that I care about ! (I have seen enough games and movies about this ! )
> But if we can control the black list and take back the rights of the other countries It could be one of the best games ! (Destroying America included ; ) )
For all of you claiming they've made Splinter Cell NOT a stealth game go try and play Conviction on Realistic difficulty if you even bothered to play it at all before complaining about it. I've beaten it on Realistic and let me tell you that you need stealth to beat that game. Maybe less than in the past because the game is a little more forgiving or maybe it's just that Sam moves more fluidly now and it makes it easier to sneak. How is that a bad thing? If they hadn't done that you'd be complaining that the controls suck and that they're just putting out the same garbage every year with a different paint job (see: Call of Duty, a prime example of a franchise that doesn't try to innovate).
If you don't like the way the series has gone go play something else. Let us enjoy innovation while you play your stagnant, unchanging franchises.
I wrote the comment below before watching the whole trailer, and now that I saw Fischer getting caught by his enemy, this game is over for me ! Why I can't play a character that is so good in what he does that he will never get caught and he will decimate his enemies ? Why we should feel all the time outgunned and weak ?
I want a game to make me feel powerful, and these days they make me feel lucky to be alive because my skills are shit and I would've never survived
When you see trailers like these, its a sign that the game went "commercial" ! Oh Ubisoft, what have you done with my Splinter Cell ?
I liked Splinter Cell back when it was being a stealth game and not being a prime time TV action drama.
This game is totally dorky. How can't they realize the green lights equipped on the protagonist's head while walking in the dark??? Even the game cover says "look at this bull$hit!"
It is said to have a Perfectionist mode where everything is either disabled or very limited with no handholding compared to lower difficulties.
@Itsleaking where can i download it for free & how
@TransvormerSColCall of Duty you play a super soldier with a healing factor to rival Wolverine's.
Max Payne: Holy crap. I just got shot in the chest at close range with a shotgun. I can see right through my torso! *pops some painkillers* Ahhh. Much better.
Playing a video game requires you to suspend your disbelief somewhat. If you want realism go outside. There's perma-death. The loot system is awful. There's very little character customization. Your characters stats suck and you can't reroll and there's no checkpoint saving system. Or any saving system at all. And all of your choices are permanent. Also the graphics are terrible.
@TransvormerSCol Well the reason "how can not they realize the green lights equipped on the protagonist is head" is apparently the lights are infrared. Also the 3 green dot symbol is a great branding icon to market the game further. Also it's a game. Look at any game and you can find flaws. Suspend your disbelief. It's the whole point of gaming.
@TransvormerSCol Then don't play it if you're not interested in the franchise, you fool. You haven't convinced anyone not to buy it with your rant.
@sparda994 Sofi... i dont have a problem with that :P
@sparda994 A mexican Lara Croft?
@sparda994 Given that SquareEnix apparently views Tomb Raider as a failure we might not even see a sequel.
that buggy piece of crap? you must be high
if anything, chaos theory is the best
@BatmanForever47 oh look we have a shitty comment from you... pathetic
@BatmanForever47 The voice acting in that trailer is the first thing that struck me...because it was so good!
