i realy realy cant see the big deal in 3D i dont maind it in movies but i dont want a game full of bugs or rushed just to have 3D im playing all the up coming games without 3D but thats just me.
Regardless of 3D, PS3 is the sickest console....all you 360 fanboys need to stop crying. 3D is not essential to PS3 gaming....Uncharted 3, Killzone 3, and whatever else will all be great in 2D anyway. You just have the option to play in 3D. If you wanna play reach in 3D...well, you can't cuz your console is a dinosaur.
*Sigh* I love how this year Sony has the PS3's biggest lineup of exclusives EVER (and arguably one of the best in gaming history) and people are STILL complaining about wanting MORE exclusives and Sony losing sight of games being the most important thing. People depress me. :(
This is all pretty cool I think. 3D is definitely where the future is headed. What I would like to see though is a 3D OS that has a camera or something that can track how far away your hand is from the screen and you can actually interact with a 3D object that is right in front of your face by actually reaching out and "touching" it.
To achieve better 3D in the future we must experiment with what we have know. If we want it to happen we have to do it.
sony 1 millions eyes destroyed. u cant watch 3d 24/7 it will destory your vision. sony needs to push more then 3d.
Brother, they are really pushing this 3D thing...I might be wrong but I think 3D will fail. However, I believe it might return with greater advancements sometime in the future [10 years +].
You use the TV screen as the annoying 3D glasses and I will give you 3D success..... 3D has been around for 30+ yrs I'm amazed that its just now picking up steam again.. But I just don't see it taking off especially when you have to wear bulky glasses....make the screen the glasses.. I know there is a tv manufacturer doing this now.. think it phillips or panasonic cant remember.. now that is innovation!!!
This whole 3D at home thing may collapse... It's just too expensive, and it hurts many people's eyes. Plus it damages kid's eyesight. I don't think it's ready yet. however I think 3D WILL stay in the theaters.
Sony! You've have proven you're the king of hardware within the console circle. Now it's now time too move on, and start making more game exclusives. Games > 3D
why not make a new console? something for serious gamers that can be upgraded and kept with the times like PC's. THAT i would DEFINATELY buy ;)
well i have used the experience 3d yet,and i dont know what it would be like.but if it gives you a head ache then it is bad thing but if they can upgrade the 3d system then it would be awsome, great going sony with the killzone uncharted and GT5:D
im still amused how sony pushes harder towards hardware instead of software ahh damn we want games not hardware and stupid 3d goggles can rot for all i caaaaaaaaaaare!!!! cmmon sony i know u can do it!!!!!!!!!!
@drytal xbox troll my point is, is that you were saying "3d makes you feel like you need glasses. REAL GLASSES" and my reply to that was sony has already developed a 3d tv that does not require glasses being worn. "@drytal xbox troll sony is one of the major companies who is working on a 3d tv without the glasses needed (Sony Bravia HD TV Free 3D Glasses) the product has already been announced on CNET.com" where does that say that im actually going to buy a 3d tv?? ......go on... im waiting get your facts right before talking it up... idiot.
studyes proved 3D harm your eyes and make you unable to think as good as you were in the time before using it.
the 3d fad won't last. Until the technology that allows for neural connection to games comes along, the controller will always beat 3d and motion control.
Should Sony pitch 3D heavily and focus on that new technology? Yes. Should they use up nearly all of their press conference time focusing on that one aspect? No.
3D will work when it's cheap, and everywhere. i think sony have the right idea, and i know there are a lot of people that don't particularly like 3D that much, once sony find a winning formula, it WILL be everywhere, just look at something like motion technology, or touch screens with phones. once one person gets successful, everyone tries to do the same thing
Here's hoping 3D will always stay optional. Not everyone has two working eyes to enjoy the novelty and wouldn't want to watch blurry images.
3D has not bought me yet...and it never will unless normal TV's are out of the market. Until then, I keep my 29'' and enjoy it very much.
honestly speaking, i dont think that 3d is really needed in order to enjoy a game on the ps3 or xbox, considering how "to life" the images already look. I guess if ur really rich and don't know wat to do with the money, the 3D, 1080 p, 55" Bravia is just for you
3D looks great and all, but I dont think that the average gamer can afford it. I certainly cant afford it. Its only recently I got an HDTV. Its bad enough that gaming is one of the worlds most expensive hobbies as it is and now we need to get a $2000 TV to get the full experience? Id rather spend that money on more games rather than use it to get a flashy TV. Im sorry, but I will have to pass, at least until they make it cheaper and glasses free.
I'm still waiting for them to push the lenticular 3D tvs that don't need glasses! But are probably still to expensive to produce.
@einers09 Point taken, and one advise to you my friend relocate your interest in the spellchecking bussines.
why make the praise of a technology that only 1% can afford, about 10% will be interested in (most people still don't get what HD is), and is half dead already because of the stupid glasses - no doubt someone will find a new technology without the glasses)
