Sniper Elite 3 - Anatomy of the Kill-Cam Video
In their latest developer blog video, Rebellion takes us through the “Anatomy of the kill-cam”, a signature piece of the Sniper Elite franchise. We look at the updates in Sniper Elite 3, such as the new muscle and circulatory system layers, and get a sneak peak of the new vehicle kill-cam.
It's like a microscopic MX cruise missile. Showing the anatomy lesson makes it sort of zombie-ish and my stomach turned just a wee bit.
First, I love the first SNIPER ELITE. It's one of my favorite games of all time, but... SNIPER ELITE V2 was filled with bugs, invisible walls, and ridiculously made many of the best sniping spots out-of-gameplay areas (were any snipers actually consulted!?!?!?!). But then in V2, one sniper with a pistol can take on hordes of rushing enemies face-to-face. RIDICULOUS. Plus, the x-ray killcam was schlocky B.S. Like in reality, seeing the bloody result of a "contact" in the environment or NPC is one thing... but the x-ray killcam made everything squishy and cartoonish. SNIPER ELITE was such a great game. Now the series declines further and further and all Rebellion has is x-ray killcam. These jokers had a great, pretty realistic hardcore start with SNIPER ELITE. Now the series is becoming a joke.
Whoa I had no idea until I just saw the Rebellion logo, that these guys publish games AND all of the Judge Dredd volumes I love reading. Don't see a company like this very often.
Looks nice. But yet again, Sniper Elite 2 looked nice too and in the end it was not that spectacular.
@alan_carter oh yes.
