Shift 2 Unleashed: Need for Speed - Hot Lap Gameplay Movie
This video is a single race completed by professional racecar driver Tommy Milner in a Corvette C6.R GT1 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
need for speed shift is best driving game in the world and i know new version of this game will be better than all driving games in the world.
Boring. Why aren't there more driving games with ramps, stunts and taking out your opponents. We need another Demolition Derby or Road Rash!
@DriftEJ20 Yeah but I would have the feeling that I own the street. I mean that I don't see myself playing shift2 for a long time. compare to gt5 or forza
it looks like a simulator but not quite, GT5 still the driving simulator champ, the head cam looks good though, the only thing that I hate about GT5 is that it doesn't have the 2011 Mustang GT nor the shelby gt500 =(
@guertt I think they improved the handing characteristics. I think if you were driving a track-only C6.R GT1 you would probably be sweating driving to the grocery store.
what are they thinking? Do I really want to be all swetting after one lap of struggling with the control of a car? thats nice for movies!! NOT video games!!!
not buying, looks no different to me othet then the helmet camera. i still have shift one. think i will stick to that one. much better new titles coming out that i need to spend my money on. infamous 2, motorstorm apoc, uncharted 3 ( 3d =) ) umm...what else? socom 4 ( sharpshooter & 3d! ) hmmm..can keep going on i think we get the point.
they should have let criterion games do the handling on the cars and also the graphics. why did they not improve on the old need for speed games, like most wanted. looks crap !
I don't see a single diference in the physics between this one and the first NFS shift ..sure as hell not gonna buy a game just to have a new helmet camera.. I expected improved handling and framerate.. I see none of them.
waiting for the review and demo on this one - Forza 3 and Dirt 2 are still keeping me satisfied... and I'm still not convinced they have everything right - though I love the sound of that Corvette when it passes by...
NFS has always been good at arcade racers but now they have decided to split into 2 seperate series (arcade and sim) this sequel will have to be more of a sim than the 1st shift to make it worth the split. The 1st game had too much of their arcade influence seeping through, still a good game, but now they have a dedicated "sim" line of games it will have to noticeably seperate itself from the arcadey NFS titles we're so familiar with if it doesnt want to get lost amongst all the other racing games, especially the other very regular NFS releases
personally i think this looks fantastic..btw people shouldn't hate on gt5 sure its not perfect but it does a lot of things right..i hope shift2 takes on knowledge gained from all race games EG: gt5 special races and physics ,forzas customization and community with dirts accessibility and nice damage models... i hope this turns out as good as it looks i hope....
@widehead You've just called me a moron yet your phrase doesn't even make sense, you can't use "who" like that... Personal opinion is now considered moronic?, that's the only downside of GT5 as far as I'm concerned. On NFS I spend alot of time making my cars look good, if you don't mind riding around in a standard looking car then fine but insulting me for my personal preferances is juvenile.
Looks good! Kinda gritty graphically, not sure if that's just the look they're going for or if graphics just aren't that polished. GT5 looks prettier, but this may look more realistic. Can't wait to try this out, hope the driving physics are polished though.
So it's trying to be Gran Turismo... we'll see.. Not exactly Sebastian Vettel is he? I loved the original but if the servers are c**p like the last game I'm not bothering because GT5 has superb servers. The only bonus this game will have that GT5 doesn't will be the ability to add custom car vinyls and stickers.
