Thank you guys for coming to the New Starship booth and interviewing a couple of our volunteers, as well as finishing up the segment in our restored chairs. It was awesome!
I love that so many people enjoy both! They're not comparable in my opinion other than the fact that they both have "star" in the title and are set in space. Star Trek is a pure sci-fi (futuristic, science based), whereas Star Wars is more of a fantasy (set "a long time ago", following a classic joseph campbell hero's journey) set in space. I personally enjoy both though of all the (many) fandoms I'm into, Star Wars has always been my first love- my go to favorite. Even now when I put the OT in I get just this adrenaline rush of happiness and nostalgia. Idk they're just magic to me! <3
Dont get me wrong i like both the franchises but lets be honest Star Wars is a way more popular franchise than Star Trek will ever be.
Star Wars was obviously more mass media popular, but a lot of the writing was really, really bad (Alec Guiness even said a lot of the dialog sucked and he was Obi-Won).
The best character in either series was one Jean Luc Picard.
@ferna1234 I really like home made burgers.
Unless they're made by J.J. Abrams.
