You'll still be playing as a gang leader in Saint's Row IV, because governments are no different than gangs. As the President you'll be the leader of the biggest, most destructive gang in the world, the US Federal government!

Your comment essentially calls Petit's issue a disorder!  I agree with that, and feel deeply empathetic for all people suffering from problems that cause them this much pain and confusion.  I welcome Petit and anyone into my home anytime in order to help them.  Problem is, people think this is not a disorder; they think this is normal.  That is delusional and just pushing unproven science.

Why are people discussing this individual's sexual orientation or whatever?  ...why does it even matter?  It seems about as relevant a discussion in this forum as someone's preference for soft cheeses over hard cheeses...and besides...what the hell does it have to do with any of us?

Lets talk about video games on this video game website dedicated to video games.

@cjtopspin If Carl is Gamespots attempt at gender equality than color me offended. Gamespot needs more(real) women reviewing games because last time i checked there are none.Unless of course gamers who mutilate their bodys are a larger demographic than women gamers,

I know there will be more people hate Saints Row 4 when they play it.

This is a funny video, and I personally can't wait for SR4.  Also, I'm so glad to see those hateful, prejudice comments have been deleted!

I came here to laugh and read rude comments, both have been satisfied.

Is it just me or is there a JC Denton vibe to the pic for the link to this article... I've gotten that feeling every time I see that pic...

Caro is a big girl who understood the cruelty of the internet before she made her decision.   The trolls of the interweb are just jealous of what she has and will most likely live in their parents basements forever.  The bravery it takes for someone to not only change genders but then put themselves out there on the internet publicly on a website that is mostly viewed by guys is hard to imagine.  Trolls will be trolls, delete the accounts, thats great and all but unfortunately it may not help.  Props to Caro and gamespot, stick to the job and ignore the cowards.

@KingKalo I agree with most of what you've said, but I've possibly misunderstood the first part. What are you referring to with regards to her "decision", her coming out as trans, or taking a public job at Gamespot? Because either way, "cruelty on the internet" being a reality doesn't mean anyone should exclude themselves from having a job, or from being themselves or speaking up about it. And as far as banning people, well, I think it would very much help. Firstly it shows the victims that "Someone is listening". That in itself is priceless. Secondly, it sends the message that "This kind of abuse will not be tolerated, and we don't want you,or anyone like you, on our site. Tell your friends."

Sorry if I come off as rude, I appreciate your comment, and you sound like a good person.

GS needs to start perma banning anyone who says nasty things about Caro. They wouldn't tolerate racism, and they shouldn't allow the scum users to continue their bigotry.

@Super_Amanda We do when we catch it, we're currently in the process of adding on a new wave of moderators.

@DigitalDame @Super_Amanda Thank you, Caro deserves respect for standing for her rights and frankly GameSpot will be better without these trolls.

@iDefinition @Super_Amanda Freedom of speech only applies to government-sanctioned actions. It does not apply to private entities such as GameSpot.

Super_Amanda
Super_Amanda

@iDefinition @Super_Amanda Does not apply here. You can say whatever hateful garbage you want in your house or property or on the streets (try that here and see what happens to you) but here there are rules against certain speech, and the constitution and bill of rights do not apply. So nanny-nanny-boo-boo to you! :P

@Fidelity29 @Super_Amanda How nice of you to copy/paste the definition of race, which I never mention. It IS bigotry, should I copy/paste the definition for you? Here you go:

"Bigotry is the state of mind of a bigot: someone who, as a result of their prejudices, treats other people with hatred, contempt, or intolerance on the basis of a person's ethnicity, religion, national origin, GENDER, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic status, or other characteristics."

Oooh! What's that? GENDER? Hmmm. You are a bigot based on what you've said. You may not be racist  but you're sure as hell a transphobic bigot!

Good thing you don't get to define people. Since you're so into the dictionary, look up some things about trans people so you can see how wrong you really are.

And guess what, chief? The really real truth is you wouldn't know it if you've interacted with a trans person in real life, and most likely you already have many times. Just like nobody I see on a daily basis at my son's school, or at the store, or in the ladies room, knows that I am, in fact, a transwoman, just like Caro. Some of us have it harder than others, and that's messed up.

Being trans isn't a "lifechoice" because it's always there whether you switch gender or not. The only choice we have is be who we are and be happy, or conform to unknown bigots, such as yourself,  expectations and never be happy.

People are free to scrutinize all they want, but be polite about it like many, many folks here are. We know people don't understand us, you're a perfect example, but that doesn't give you license to be a insensitive prick, does it?

Let's see how nice you are to me now that you know I'm trans.

You need to learn a little ability called empathy. Look that definition up yourself.
