Ryse - E3 2011 Official Trailer
Check out the E3 trailer for Ryse.
It always worries me a bit when Kinect trailers show people kicking. Kicking is something you have to know what you're doing to get away with, and leaves you badly off-balance unless you know how to recover properly.
If people thought the flying-Wii-remote injury lawsuits were bad, wait till you see the Kinect-Karate lawsuits..
as funny as that sounds - some ppl are going to buy the console pirating games for is easier. if the xbox will block piracy completely somehow than it might be more favorite in the eyes of the devs, but pirates will go for the PS4 if THAT console will have a worse protection system.
WHYYYY? It looked so good before they moved to the kinect guy and revealed the game to be the abomination it is.
Don't know if this is a break in the story if this will be next-gen or not but I did notice one of the sources that seemed to make a few of these sites believe it would be released on the new Xbox has been updated. Former Senior Level Designer @ Crytek Ashley Morgan had posted on her LinkedIn account "RYSE Pushing boundaries of next generation gaming, RYSE is an original AAA IP from Crytek slated to deliver an Epic first-person melee experience in the Roman Empire." But now she has added (Xbox360) to this statement under her experience (linkedin.com/pub/ashley-morgan/4/399/379).
This looks like fun...... If it works well enough to give that kind of feedback :) But I trust, Crytek will make a great game as they always do.
First title on the Kinect worth buying? Maybe, but I'm too skeptical of the kinect in general to be anything but wary. But by all means, take as much time as you need on this game, M$. I would rather have a crazy stellar 1st person sword fighting game than a so-so mediocre game with loads of untapped potential.
not to triple post or anything, but i wonder about two things. first is how they'll handle movement, (things like turning or strafing; i dont have a kinect so i dont know how other games do it), and i wonder if it'll have coop and/or competitive multiplayer. both, in my opinion, would be fun as hell. you and two of your friends teaming up against three other people for a good ol' backstabbing brawl? or you and said friends romping hordes of gaul invaders? definitely has potential.
but yeah im def willing to buy a kinect if it turns out to be good. how could i call myself a gamer if i dont partake in the first step toward virtual reality combat that could be that realistic?
this is either going to be phenomenal and mind blowing, or bad. ha there cant really be an in between for this type of ground breaking game. but i have faith in crytek :]
The Crytek always make the best graphics and perfect gameplay, and if it like befor it can be beter than crysis and be one of the best game of the world ,but surly it (only) can ...
HELLO! THIS IS MADE BY CRYTEK, how can a company like this possibly develop a bad game both technically and game play wise
if this gonna suck im gonna sell my kinect o wait i allready did it after play some games it was not like the trilers or the gameplay and dont belive in the kinect wii or any other movement sh** that let u play with your hands
probably wait for reviews, but if it's really good and controls well, this might be a reason for me to get a kinect.
This will either be really really awesome, or really really terrible. Oh, and They're finally advertising for Skyrim!!! Yay!!!
Looks good, I'll probably rent first. I like that it is probably the first Kinect required game to possibly have a story behind it and not be something all arcade like. Hopefully they'll put in like a gladiator mini game or something where you can be alone or with ai or friends and just fight to the death in the Colosseum against ever tougher opponents.
i had such high hopes for this games, i actuall had the nerve to belief we may get a God of War eater but instead we getting crap that God of War spit out honestly does MS enjoy making us the laughting stock of other gamers, the only way to save this game is if it also have fully functional controller input, the kinecters will stik to kinect and we'll use a controller Pleas MS and Crytek save this game its not yet too late
Going to be interesting to see how this turns out. Once they master hack-n-slash for the Kinect I'm looking forward to seeing how immersive such a game can get.
Looks interesting if the controls turn out to be intuitive and responsive, Not much of a motion controller player but the game setting interests me too.
