God dammit. I'm still not over it. I wish I was in a dream and tomorrow I'll wake up and everything's back to normal with Ryan Davis back at Giant Bomb.
The worst part is imaging what his wife must be going through. I couldn't even begin to imagine what it would be like to be with someone for so many years and finally after getting married to lose that person after only a few days.
BTW Watching this video, I just can't believe, that this fatty boy became such a HOT bear...... Damn he was gorgeous.
I'm sorry for his loss.
hate to hear this I listen to giant bomb to pass down time at work , wow thought he was older than that im 33 so thats kinda scary my regards go out to his friends and family he will be missed
R.I.P, Mr. Davis. This is the first I have ever heard of you, but less than a minute of this tribute shows that you are the kind of man that anyone could befriend within seconds.
Great video, my condolences to all of his friends and family, that is way too young to go :-\ He was a real character and will be missed.
going to miss him. this dude has been part of my life for 1/3 my life since watching him at gamespot
The first time I ever saw a video review for a game, and was introduced to online information for games, was by a Ryan Davis review for DBZ.
I remember you buddy!
I listen to the Giant Bombcast every week, that man never failed to make me laugh. Damn, I'm going to miss you Ryan Davis. Rest in peace.
I loved this tribute so much, it was just all happy moments showing times I think he had rooted deep in his memories, by the way, that pencil sketch was the best, haha! Great video GameSpot
I want to offer my condolences to the friends and family of Mr. Davis during these difficult times. God bless you all.
Another great person lost to complications with obesity. Its not a misconception, alot of gamers are overweight.
And fyi fatal sleep apnea almost always comes from complications of
being overweight. Regardless, you'd be a fool to believe his weight
played no part in his death at such an early age.#RipRyan
Ryan's jokes were sharp and witty, TNT will never be the same. It must be so melancholy for the GB guy's at the moment.
lol who took that bright white epic jesus-like picture of him on the gamespot home page? What someone from gamespot was like "here let me take an ultra high res picture of you with an epic white backdrop just in the unlikely case you might die in the near future"??
Probably heart disease from his overweight.
Number one death cause in the US, you guys need to do something about your eating habits.
Not bashing anyone or making fun, but it's a serious health issue.
Rest in peace. Condolences to his wife, family, and friends.
Never paid attention to him much b/c he never reviewed the games I was most interested in. But i do remember him having the most unbiased, level-headed reviews. The video game industry lost a great reviewer, and also (apparently) a person with a great heart.
This brought back a lot of good memories, really going to miss you Ryan, I could only imagine what his close friends and family are going through.
@alecamil dude thats rude do you know how many people were affected cause of his death
@Vidpci Yup. I can confirm, you're a jerk.
@PhillyKuts The world would be a much better place if we could replace you with him.
@spindie What if I told you: Photoshop!
@k1fry67He died from sleep apnea.
You should inform yourself before before jumping to a conclusion and give health lessons, dude.
@Warlord_Irochi OBESITY. enough said. That alone is a HEALTH ISSUE.
@Warlord_Irochi Sleep apnea is one of the illness you'll get from being fat.
@Warlord_Irochi He suffered from sleep apnea but that wasn't the cause of death. He was found dead at home sitting at his computer.
@Romangelo Not exactly, although overwheight rises the chances it is not the direct cause. Besides, k1fry67 prejudiced with "heart disease". I was pointing that out.
@Romangelo You are filth.
