Pretty neat idea, I hope this will actually improve my playing and not just frustrate me. I see myself as a pretty decent player, but I hope I might pick some techniques up with this :D
I've been playing in bands for well over 20 years, and I'm excited about seeing how this game works - not only for myself, but also my students. But I'll tell ya right now, Free Bird is one song I had hoped to never ever hear again for the rest of my life. And it is quite possibly one of the easiest most dumb-riffed songs ever recorded. If you like it, then cool for you. But for me, and I know lots of other musicians that have had to play in cover bands to make money at one time or another in their life - It's repulsive and a joke. That's the fact, Jack.
I've been playing guitar for 10 years. But seeing this game, I think I'd have to start at "easy" anyway, because those patterns and what not you see on the screen confuse me. It's STILL a different approach to playing guitar. I'm intrigued to play this game being a very serious musician myself. But I'm afraid it'll only annoy me.
durt13: they say that they are planning a dlc for bass after its release. check the FAQs section on their page for more info http://rocksmith.ubi.com/rocksmith/en-US/home/ cannot wait for this game!!!! also, Lynyrd Skynards - Free Bird. Hells yes, theres something for the advanced guitarists!!
I'm really looking forward to this game! I hope they get some kind of a Music store, that would be awesome!
