it makes me feel very old, knowing that this game is now almost 10 years old.

uh, is it just me or does this look exactly the same as it did on GameCube in 2005? How is this an HD release? Looks like the same character/environment models, same textures, same everything.

This looks substantially better than that horrid PC port. Hopefully all the C++ runtime errors are fixed. 60fps is gonna make a huge difference. Capcom did fine with the PC versions of 5 and 6, so I'll buy this too.

from the trailer, the graphics of the game look the same as the gamecube version of the RE4 that I still have. granted i play it using a S-video cable to make it look better, but even so.. mater of fact, the graphics of the gamecube remake of RE1 looks better then the "new" HD version

Pretty shitty job, High Definition is NOT high resolution. CRAPCOM and their half-assed PC ports, after Devil May Cry 3, I won't be picking another port from them on this lifetime.

MILK it Capcom. MILK IT!

This is a great game, but I'm pretty sure everyone who wanted to play it has. That, and the "HD Upgrade" doesn't appear to have made a huge difference. Surprise, surprise, an old game looks old regardless of resolution.

This trailer is really misleading. I didn't see any new bonus content. Maybe they're referring to the compact disc? Amazing game though. The question is: is this the last great Resident Evil game? It is a Shinji Mikami game I do believe.

Great game! But who didn't play this? Oh c'mon, it already have almost 10 years, and have been released in all major platforms in the past...

They really liked to throw the fact it's 'HD' in your face, yet everything looks the same, just it will obviously run at a higher resolution. But I saw nothing about 'controller support' and maybe even better controls on mouse and keyboard then the atrocity we had with the original PC version.

Capcom, if you really want people's money, -show- them a reason to buy it again. Saying buzzwords like 'HD' and '60fps' doesn't really fit with the PC crowd, since they're more interesting in wanting to run 4k at 120+fps.

Time has left it's mark on this game. I've never actually played through it though, so I might grab it off steam. Maybe some awesome modders will re-texture it. Doubt it.

@thekazumalord Dude I totally agree with you, RE1 remake has some of the best graphics of that generation, strange how most people over look it.

@Swaghard the bonus content is the stuff that came on the PS2. Seperate Ways with Ada Wong, New character skins and the ability to rewatch cutscenes. I do believe this was the last great RE game. I didn't like 5, 6 or Operation RC.

@everson_rm yeah I played this on GameCube at release and then again on PS2. Great game. I've probably beat this game like 25 times total, kind of ridiculous actually.

@Draken_Domingo yeah I agree. All the textures and character models are the same. Why would they bump up the poly count and increase the textures?
