the first time when i looked at the game cover it made me feel like this is the mirror edge sequel but after watching the combact system footage.......feels totally different.
Interesting and a very new way to do combat, let's wait to see if it works in game for us or not, but also as he said, the auto fill stuff for those who can't get the hang of it. Can't wait to actually use this to see how it works.
I don't know. I'm not really feeling the combat. Has too much going on. I'll try to hold off judgment though until the final product.
Ah... capcom has never had a lasting effect on me.
I really don't know... only time will tell with this one. Though I'm not going to be hopeful.
Looks interesting but I'm not sure about the idea of constantly adjusting combos... Could make combat a bit disjointed after a while
Way too much jumping. They should seriously ground their combat. Jumping like that just makes seem really cartoony. There is no way I can take this seriously. I think am gonna pass.
what would make this game great is if they let you drive cars that fly like Blade Runner or Fith Element. And made it open world so you can drive/fly any place in the game.
The combo system looks amazing! For people complaining that the complexity will get in the way of fun, the creative director said that the game will have an 'autofill' setting, so you people can mash buttons and not have to worry even once about combo management :p
This doesn't even interest me since I am increasingly jaded by claims of 'innovative' features that really only translate to lazy, sloppy tweaks on the same old heuristics.
I like this sort of combat tweaking, but all about the world it exists within ;) one I will keep an eye on though.
I think people are not quite understanding how the system will work out. I don't think you'll need to go to the menu and switch every single time...Around 3:30 the player switches from the "high dmg dealer" to the healing combo without pausing the game. This brand new IP by CAPCOM is starting to look very interesting.
the fighting attacks looks nice.. but why do u have to do so much things to defeat these enemies, first u have to customize combo to gain health, then customise combo to kill enemy, then to kill men with shield then kill sniper.. like what the hell.. if there is anything i hate is the complexity of game controls or game fighting.. If its even to buy combos so fighting can be enhanced would more be appreciated.. than all this customize bull crap..
@stevenemmanuel How in the world did you get that from Mirror's Edge?
@hehe101 More like a lesser Assassins Creed.
then there is no problem at all
i think i will re consider this game
@Zualtea2 Yea I remember that. It was one of my first PS2 games.
@Zualtea2 i was just going to say that
Near the beginning of the demo, the developer says that you can customize combos however you like, meaning you can have a "regen" move and a "power" move in the same combo. He just separated them to show what the different move classes did.
@mdboomerYou'll likely only have to set it up as you encounter new situations in a level, once you set it up, most enemies will be able to be dealt with through the use of those combos. My guess is that people are worrying that ever two seconds will require you to set up a new combo, although I highly doubt that is the case...
@Dekanis That is my concern. Hopefully more gameplay footage will come out soon.
