A first look at Remember Me from the Capcom press event at GamesCom 2012.
Did you enjoy this video?
Looks moderately fun and original. It looks like a literal mash-up of Uncharted's chaotic platforming, Mass Effect's psionic skills and skill menu , and a melee combat system similar to Assassin's Creed and the Arkham games.
Hopefully the gameplay and aesthetics doesn't get too stale or repetitive. All too often, sci-fi settings end up having sort of a cheesy plastic feel, and they get a little carried away with the glowing colored lights. I also hope the environment explores something outside the nighttime gritty cyber city.
The platforming looks like prince of persia and the combat looks like batman arkham asylum
The running/jog animation needs work. It just looks awkward.
I like it!.
I'm sold!!! I love the gameplay story and graphics look amazing! Can't wait to see more!
Curse you hunter!
God, the dialog is TERRIBLE.
Give me a feel of Mirror Edge...
2089 in an advanced fighter and he can't make one decent shot on this lady - sad. The game play looks awesome but this scene a bit unbelievable. The fight scenes remind me of Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Yeah: the gameplay in "Remember Me" does look like it borrows heavily from a lot of other established video games, which is just fine in my book.
In the end, if it means the gameplay of this title turns out good, then so be it.
Well, it is Capcom after all! Still, it does look (visually) pretty awesome. Hopefully the action isn't too scripted.
@GAME-QUEST-EX Yeah I didn't mean to imply that borrowing successful mechanics is a bad thing. "Moderately original" is an achievement these days, in my book. It definitely looks like Remember Me will have strong gameplay. "Staying Power" is my only real concern.
