Remedy talks Max Payne 1 and 2
With Max Payne 3 on the horizon, Remedy's Matias Myllyrinne and Sam Lake take a look back at the influential action shooter series.
I think by now as followers of Max and GTA , then thrown at us RDR and L A Noire
we can only imagine what R* would have done with "AGENT" I am saying would have ? because I now believe this title is extinct ! R* is more popular than waking up in the morning !
Man.... After watching those gameplay scenes from the first game it seems like almost yesterday I was upgrading to a 3D FX Voodoo card just to play this. Pretty sure this was also the first game I even worried about doing that to my PC, except for maybe Deus Ex Vampire the Masquerade and Tribes. Max Payne was such a epic and cinematic experience back then. Good times....
max payne 1 and 2 had an amazing story line that made you want to finish the game, one of my top all time favorite games...worried about 3 though
Wow, talk about an awesome walk down memory and nostalgia lane! Amazing games and I think MP3 will be the next big chapter in the series!!
Haha, lol @ "abysmal movie adaptation"....still need to see that. Totally forgot Mila Kunis was in it....
Both of the Max Payne games are among my favourites, Max Payne 2 especially. Remedy disappointed me when they cancelled the PC version of Alan Wake, but I have faith that they might produce another masterpiece yet.
I would love to see a Max Payne Collection come to the PS3 with HD support and Trophy List(s). They are both amazing games ;] can't wait for the 3rd installment.
if Mona didn`t die, there wouldn`t be a MP3. She and Max would get married and live happily ever after. =)
Just replayed the first two the other week in anticipation for the 3rd. Beat number two on the hardest difficulty so Mona doesn't die. That's the way it should end in the first place :D
nice retrospective of an awesome, but short game series, I agree with the users saying that if remedy isn't involved with the game it's not max payne 3, seems like rockstar are real a**holes when they are publishing a game, 'Max payne 2. complete disapointment?' R* should stick to making their own games, and not being a publisher, they do much better in creating games, not publishing thanks for the video GS this is pretty cool lil' feature, i enjoyed it :)
That was a very nice retrospective; it made me both nostalgic and looking forward to the new game. I wish there were more features like this.
Sam Lake WAS Max Payne so when Rockstar redesign him Max died in my opinion. Yes he did look 'funny' but that was part of his charm.
Sam Lake is a genius. Max Payne 1 & 2 still do this day are two of my favorite games ever made. I still haven't played Alan Wake yet but I've heard the story and atmosphere are creepy as hell. I'd give anything for Rockstar to release an HD collection so I could play these games again.
