@glssr60 the grammar police ARE in. =P
@gvidzix In 2013 this game still is ingenious.
Haha this was awesome, glad I am not the only one who recites G-Mans speech at the beginning, thought I was the only one doing it... nice one Danny!
This one was a really good game to pick and I hope HL1 will be featured some time in the future. (or was it already featured?)
@RGN07 Yes , I played it recently on Windows 7 . Runs without any problem .
@RGN07 It runs on Windows 8.1 x64 no prob.
@RGN07 youre so cool
I always found the crab aliens horrifying in HL, not because they are annoying to kill, but because they zombiefy people, but those people are still alive and are in constant pain.
it like they are in hell but they can't ever escape and the only way to end their suffering is by killing them... well at least that's how I imagined it :P
@nyran125tk He played F.E.A.R. in the first season of Random Encounter. Look it up on Youtube or Twitch.
I cant believe the user friendly go this way :>:>:> arrows or :<:<:< go that way arrows and little minimaps and icons all over the screen , in linear games now, its pathetic and horrible. I hope we get back to this exploration style of single player games again, where you have to look around a little and the game doesn't just play itself, even if its not complicated back then, it still felt like we had more control over what we did in the game despite how linear this and FEAR and DOOM 3 was, compared to games now.
Half Life 2 was amazing, still is amazing. that's exactly what I do, I replay it each year to :) Its still awesome. I bet the Last Of Us wont still have people playing it 10 yrs later .
@nyran125tk Don't make so high assumptions. Believe in Naughty Dog.
People still play Crash Bandicoot.
First time Barney took me in I grabbed a book off the table and had it held above his head ready to hit him when he turned around. How many other games ever let you do something even remotely close to that
couldn't of picked a better game to celebrate with, congrats on two years Danny.
if you like the mod side of HL2 give Crylife a try, for those that don't know its Halflife 2 but wearing the Crysis suit :), there are still a few minor bugs but it gets updated on a regular basis.
Also if you are not keen on the graphics of Halflife 1 (I love them personally) , then give Blackmesa a shot , it's a fan remake of HL1 using the source engine although it's missing "ZEN" its still worth a play (yes I know it was released last year) it's just a heads up if you haven't heard of it before :)
Half Life 2 was a breath of fresh air after all the bad simulation games. I mean, those games are fun to watch once in a while, but they are also very similar in their horribleness. Hatoful Boyfriend is of course another class of bad. Looking forward to that one.
Congratulations on the 2 years.
Thank you Oscar for giving South Africa more bad reputation. Honestly people South Africa can be an awesome country!!!
my good man i replay it every year to,i went and bought a PC just for this game!saw it at a friends when it came out and saw Alex & said to myself I must play that sweet digital girl...
man, you're just asking for it
@Halloll It's overrated now, sure, but back when it came out (when you were 6) the game was amazing.
