I will still get this but these videos don't show anything to do with the actual game. Every PES has this cinematic demo at the start and it looks nothing like in the game.
I hope they do improve the crowd a lot. Sort out the lob finishes too Konami. You should be able to do tiny delicate chips. Not one huge looping ball when you only tap the button....
Every year it's the same crap from fifa and konami. THey never deliver what they promiss and they ask the full price for a game they hardly change. They just give it a new coat and that's it.
With the new console they have a chance to amaze us but they probably won't it will be the same old shit and we will still have to pay 60 bugs for a game that has not evoled since the previous console's
idk what innovation people expect from a football game, it's football what more can you add? Maybe if dev's put in killstreaks and guns then people would buy it.
One thing I did like from that was the crowd celebrating widly.
I think both games have missed one component that is key, atmosphere, the passion from the crowd needs to be there.
I score a last minute goal and its a "roar" not a "ROAR", jubilation, fans jumping up and down,.
I think they should make a new rule that states all new games must show actual GAMEPLAY footage in the trailers.... especially if it's a sports game. These type trailers where they throw fancy words in like it's new gameplay(I'm looking at you EA)and never show actual gameplay of it in action is such bullshit. I'm actually tired of FIFA and PES. I mean they are good games... but it's been the same shit now for years. I want a real innovation that stands out to plop down another $60 on a soccer game. Same goes for Madden etc... Not even close to being worth $60 bucks anymore. Reheats.
animations from what we saw looked much much better. The stadiums look fab.
Just hope all is great when it comes to actualy gameplay.
will buy PES this year.
Pes is a three letter word, Win too!
PES = WIN
Fifa is a four letter word, Lose too
FIFA = LOSE
:P :P :P :P :P
I can't beleive I'm reading people saying this game will be better than FIFA based on a teaser video !!!!!! It's laughable !!! I used to only play PES until 09, then FIFA took the crown, and after that, PES will have to make HUGE changes to get in the first position again.... I'll change my preference soon as I see that the gameplay is better again, but to change my idea over a teaser video is RIDICULOUS !!! Are you guys working for Konami ?????
I'm seriously going to consider this over FIFA this year. It doesn't have all the different teams but it looks better and still plays really well too. FIFA has frustrated me in recent years as I feel they've been resting on their laurels a bit ever since FIFA 10 while PES has constantly been improving. I also feel that FIFA is either too easy or if you bump the difficulty up the AI simply cheats.
I remember a match I played where I had about 20 different attempts on goal, 15 of which were headers and I hit the post about 4 different times. The opposing team had 1 attempt on goal near the end of the game and they buried it. Not only that it was some weird looping header from a player who was diving away from the goal that my keeper should have dealt with, but for whatever reason he simply fell over instead of jumping for the ball. This occurred on a higher difficulty. Basically I was still able to play a competitive game of football but the way in which the goal took place and the way in which I couldn't score no matter what I tried told me that the AI had already decided that I was going to lose that match before it started. Happens all the time in FIFA on the higher difficulties and it drives me nuts!
@DeKuip did you expect a football game with knifes and guns?
@eze_sl89 Maybe, but wow that was a lame trailer - it pimped the graphics engine, but everything was monochrome and filtered
@ohjtbehaaave yeah i know what you mean , I also am begining to hate these rendered videos , with either just plain CGI or parts of gameplay at a non gameplay angle.
I also want pure two sides playing each other , NOT scripted , a 5 min match.
These companies like doing crap like this.
Learn from Battlefield .. look at their BF4 gameplay show ..??
why dont sports game do the same thing ?
@d33pak001 im with you on this one. Pes has been rubish on the current Gen but is still light years aheah of FiFa. Pes has got soul, Fifa is an arcade game for people who care about Nikes and Adidas. Fifa is only played by kids who didnt get picked on a real football team, while PES is played by FIFA WORLD PLAYER'S OF THE YEAR.
@d33pak001 That is embarrassingly stupid...
@dalua360 You cant take hope out of humans, all of those people are just hoping that Konami finally ticks all the boxes, just based on the Pre E3 video by Konami, and Kojima Fox Engine, its a start but im with you on that one, we want to see gameplay and a demo after E3 since is goin to be released on the current gen only!
@dalua360 Pay me your attention please,when you hear or know that PES 2014 will run on Fox Engine do not think twice that the game will be awesome or either better than Lifa sorry i mean fifa14 and do not think twice to play the game.
Although,There is not much trailers for the game yet on gamespot,but i can tell you that this game will be The best Pro Evolution Soccer game ever made and that's because the game will run on like what i said Fox Engine and that engine is enough to make the game in a top levels of quality and in a top levels between sports games generally and soccer games specially and that's in my opinion.
Finally,if you do not know the fox engine ask Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and it will answer you.
well at the moment , the new details for PES written in yesterdays announcment are astonishing if executed well.
I play More FIFA than PES of recent. And IF konami can accomplish their written details. Then im defo will be playing PES more.
All looks promising.
And in general people want change. Alot of people getting bored of FIFA , its good when we another great footie game as an alternative. And this year it looks as both games will be technically great. With PES making more fundemental changes.
@diskothequelooks better? From prerendered video teaser that was in black and white with half color grading....? Complaining because you cant score goals and wanna jump to PES because the AI in fifa decided you must lose??? Heres a tip, go to the yard and kick a ball agianst the wall, 1st lesson. If it comes back you're doing it right. Even that action beats PES
@Mo60 I think I was clear on that point when I said: "PES will have to make HUGE changes to get in the first position again.... I'll change my preference soon as I see that the gameplay is better again"...
I don't fall for hyped propaganda anymore, it doesn't matter to me if it's Fox Engine, even I'm being a huge fan of MGS, and I'm saying that because many engines these days are only labels to make more money, take a look at Frostbite for example, they just put a higher number in front of the engine's name and all the people start to think that's the ultimate engine without actually seeing any considerable differences !
@maghdie Unfortunately for your logic I didn't come up with my conclusions based on this trailer alone. I've played PES (or Winning Eleven) every year along with FIFA. I've always ended up going with FIFA because of the sheer number of licensed teams and the larger player-base for online matches... but last year's FIFA was the final straw for me.
Here's two tips: 1. Don't be such an arrogant prick when you post a response to someone, just because their opinion differs from yours. 2. If you think kicking a ball against a wall by yourself is more enjoyable than PES then I really think you need to try playing PES again.
@GSGuy321 have you ever play soccer?
In FIFA it's not about the team you've chosen, it's all about you and how you play, and when you play against AI, your opponent will choose the best decision base on it's teammate to beat you.
