Did you enjoy this video?
Would be nice if the sub controller was named Navi, seeing as it's a navigation stick. Unless that's copyrighted.
lol i might actually get this if its good as well as natal depending on how well that works out
I can't wait for this to come out tbh however I think it depends as per normal on the games...Once PS3 gets some good Move Titles the controller will then be awesome. As to comparing it to wii think it's a wii killer tbh as HD is were it's at! Natal come on it looks cool but I kinda think the lack of buttons will be there down fall.
Shaun if ur reading this ur wallpaper is awesome how do u not laugh everytime you turn on computer?
this is an awesome technology that will blow the wii to hell where it belongs. So whatever game Wii comes out with, the ps3 can do a million times better. the ps3 is like the cranberry of juices...any console compared to the ps3 gets f**kin dwarfed
for socom 4 there better be a way to use standard control settings not to mention camera view
this controller make people better healthy,maybe..
Why do many people keep saying like "square, triangle, circle..." and then "X" as in the letter...?
It's not... it's a cross..., it's a shape... as opposed to letters on the Nintendo- and Microsoft-consoles.
I have an idea of what games should be released for ps move. Resident evil 4 hd remake with motion controls....now that is saying something. I would give Capcom 10/10 if they will do this.
sony is awesome but not into the motion sensing thing like that I must say the xbox360 one seems to be a little more interestiong because the whole fact that theres dont require a controller at all but yea, I think I'll save my money instead :)
damm that niko guys im going to kill him one this damm days
LOL whats the name of the third guy in the video? he always makes me laugh when i see him. Im gonna get the move :)
Don't understand why people aren't liking this i'm really excited about that gladiator game on well basically wii sports. it just looks more 1to1 with the players than that of just :"WAGGLE WAGGLE" like in wii's resort... And LBP will be very interesting with this new item coming to the ps3 all around i think they'll pull it off and not be a flop. We've seen what it has to offer from the pre-alpha and it looks great: now think that but when it is actually done and out i'm, expecting a win.
im still not sure about this whole motion control scene, i mean i got suckered in to buying a Wii and for a while it worked but after the whole sports game thing was done , i found myself going back to the ps3 or xbox360 and when i was on the wii i couldnt help think that it would have been easier to play with a pad.
you can trust me i have pin,man i love that ad :)
No mention of the possibility of motion control being integrated into the XMB or for browsing the web. I think that the web browser is one of the weaker points of the PS3. Throw in move support and things become much more interesting.
I have no idea If I will get Move or not, but gudni's points are a bit weird. There may be plenty of PS3 owners who got them for the Blu Ray, but I don't know any PS3 owning friends who don't regularly play games.
No point getting Move becuase the Wii already has plenty if support - bonkers - that is like saying there was no point getting an Xbox (1) becuase the PS2 was out and had loads of games, or no point geting a PS2 because the Dreamcast was out and had loads of games, or even no point getting a PS3 as the 360 is already out and has loads of games. Nonsense. If it works well and good games are created for it, it will be fine even if it only has a marginal effect on sales.
Nintendo has motion controls as theyre main controller and they already have a ton of great games with awesome motion controls and theyre line-up is always improving.
Im sorry but if someone wants to buy a console with motion controls i think they will go after the console that already has a big catalog and they can count on full on support(and is cheaper).
Move has barely shown to be any better then Wiimotion+ except on paper
Just like PS3 vs. 360 in the whole graphics argument. On paper PS3 should have looked much better from the start, in reality there are only a few games that show that they are a bit ahead and it took them a long time to produce those games,
and graphics and tech are the PS3s main draw(PS3 gamers seem to be more often then not more tech nerds then game lovers).
If it took Sony a few years with all of theyre staff to pull out the graphical power why would theyre side controller option blow away Nintendos main controller.
Move is a little bit better tech wise but the Wiimotion+ has so much more support from the software side.
If your new and want motion controls then Move is not the stronger move.
@ Frimmel well said.
Like with the Wii, the success of Move will come down to software. The Wii really didn't deliver in this area, but maybe Move will. We'll see if Sony has any games that differentiate their motion controls from the competition.
I already have a wii so this should be awesome
Still not sold on Playstation Move yet
The big thing with this is going to be using the power of the PS3 compared to the Wii to give us something really new with this tech. For me the interest isn't in a 'game with motion control' but in a 'great game that happens to have motion control.' I will buy the device if they come up with games I want to play that use the device.
Personally, this isn't suppose to be meant for hardcore game enthusiasts who want a new more "interactive" way to "immerse" themselves into gaming. Plain and simple, they're trying to steal a share of the casual market. They're not trying to build a better mousetrap, they just want one that will look cooler and sell just as well as the original (the Wii). Right now Sony is all about selling the PS3 as an entertainment center, as you see from their commercials where they say It Does Everything. So they'll take the hit from hardcore folks if they can do exactly like Nintendo did and cash in on the people who are just looking for a quick little diversion.
Well for me it's all about the games. If the games are good I'll buy princess Arora's vibrator.
well im willing to try this dont really know if ill like it but a question why did the control have to be a d.ldo/v*brator like come on playstation they coulda done better than that and as for nintendo well they better prepare for the fight of their lives
gimmicks dont work sony...why dont you just try to make games for your box...wtf...overthinking what people want...yeah rumble was needed...six axis was not...just make 1080p games like uncharted, killzone, god of war,etc...how hard is that...its not rocket science....gaming console should =great games....pretty easy huh? sony
btw i own a ps3 and love it...just need more games...gimmicks are for the carnival or circus
If the Playstation Move supports Heavy Rain, I will definately get it.
whoever wanted to play wii-like games already has a wii, dont they get that?
nintendo did a fine work even with their dead space title, as far as shooting goes. and what is the purpose in paying for bowling with a 1080p ball?
the ps3 can go beyond any other console [i have all three of them and i can tell], not only graphics-wise, and if they further push its computational potential they can create something new and exciting. otherwise it is going to be sony's biggest blunder in the last few years.
Loving the puppies on Shaun's screen.
Thanks Gamespot for quality opinions, I'm looking forward to the release of that controller, it might make Wii obsolete :P
I think the game part will improve over time.
i'm not sold on this i'm gonna play socom 4 on the good old dualshock
the games SUCK, move is just a gimmick it should MOVE AWAY. its a wii clone, socom was a let down i was hoping for you to hold the 2 move things like a gun with 2hands, so it then switches to aim mode but yet giving you the control of movement aswell, but NO its just the same as controlling a fps on Wii. i can get the same if not better controls from guess what, a control pad oooooo ahhhhhhh
Well, didn't really mean that LBP was a hardcore game, I meant it as in like a big, $60 game(well, it's not $60 anymore), not little family party games like table tennis, but a big $60 game.
@ SkeetWeetSlappy ofcourse they have good graphics i mean its just a different controller and it uses a tiny portion of the ps3; im excited to see socom and how it fares with this controller
I agree with most of the people in the video; I thought the games looked (I wasn't there) lacklustre but the hard ware looked good. But a HD wii is no bad idea. I hear loads of people going on a bout they don't play Wii cos of the graphics.
I just hope this playstation move thing has good graphics... if so, I think i'll give it a shot
the only problem i have with this is that they're pretty much ripping off nintendo ( microsoft and sony )and it doesnt seem like it will be any different than the Wii... if sony or microsoft dont bring in anything new or fresh than they're both going to fail
vg3000, they should just call the sub-controller a Nunchuck and bundle it with the PS3 move, I can't stop this, sorry its just the biggest rip-off ever in gaming, and I feel sorry for Nintendo in a big way. I like the whole Zipper came up with a cool way to play Socom 4 with the PS3 Move, its called the sub-controller that was a nice way for sony to introduce the second component, we all know its going to be part of the main bundle.
Battle of the developers has begun! I can already see the top Nintendo people in Kyoto in a meeting throwing tons of ideas on the table to show at E3 ^^
I wonder why Sony just doesn't make incorporate Move as a control scheme that can be used in any game and you select what you want to use.
I don't see people going out and buying a PS3 just for the Move. If people want motion controls I suspect they'll just stick with Wii cause its cheaper. A lot of the games they showed were just sports party games, so I agree with gamespots review above that it didn't show enough cool uses of the Move.
About the only way I think a company could be successful with motion controls is to include them right from the beginning as the primary controller, like the wii did. Requiring people people to buy these extra controllers for a small selection of party games, and in some cases two controllers (for motion fighters) or a sub controller (for socom 4), I just don't think will catch on.
Its obviously way better than the Wii... But without the games this thing is going to fail.
hmm not sold on this yet.....lets just see what games will be available. Ill only be impressed by this if it absolutely mind blowing. This wont be a new experience because the Wii has already done all this so unless it can offer something amazing, its pointless.
If Crysis 2 comes with Playstation Move support then you know they are gonna sell a like a million bajillion units.
I honestly think, much like the GS staff, that it is too early to tell, until we see developers show off games we will not know.
Yeah, the wii is has all the motion controls I need, and most of the games are made towards motion controls. I will probably buy playstation move anyway, but natal is a definite buy for me.
Sony should change their "it only does everything" to "We only rip-off everything"
