Payday 2 - Fencing Loot and Betrayal Reveal
Trading art leads to betrayal in this developer playthrough.
I like this game alot but I sadly got it for my ps3 and nobody plays it so I don't really get the full awesome out of it sadly.
The only thing that I don't like about this is the fact that they can take so many hits without going down. That and the seemingly unlimited amount of ammo they are carrying. Other than that it looks like a fun game. AI doesn't seem too smart, but it still looks fun.
Where's the betrayal part? Was it when the SWAT showed up? I thought betrayal meant some of the players betraying the rest and getting away with the money. Kinda misleading there, Gamespot.
I would LOVE a game like this where you would die/get crippled from getting shot once. Also I hate the reloading thing.
WHY haven't they made a game where reloading is pre-planned i.e. you fill the mags with bullets and you have limited mags.
And if you wasted all your mags, you would have to manually insert bullet by bullet in a mag while hiding.
Also, I am BOTHERED by the fact that you can change mags indefinitely by only shooting one bullet. Not realistic at all.
Feels too arcade-y which loses the tension.
looks ok ,it's not really a hustle simulator ,but I think i will enjoy spending some time and thought on stealth part. Could be much better if they had some intro and outro cutscenes with the crew leaving in a car, maybe a chase and then an escape with the chopper ..would help the image of the game.
Booooooring a lot of shooting for no reason ,plus the cops keep coming for ever, might as well keep shooting at an army. I am going to pass on this one. Too bad very disappointed as I thought it would have been a playable game.NOT A GEM BUT DESCENT. This is rubbish, graphics look like P.S.2. Just G A R B A G E.
another thing why does an AK74U firing 5.45x39 sounds the same as the G36C using 5.56? i dont like games where weapons handle bad and sound the same.
@mucking_foron Most of the fun will be trying to do heists all stealth-like. It's a huge challenge in this game with how random each scenario plays. That said, shooting an army of police officers while trying to stay alive and move all of your loot...actually a lot of fun. This video makes the game seem somewhat easy, but I've watched gameplay and there are some really good squads that still don't complete every heist.
I do agree the AI isn't what we would normally see in a game like this (albeit still pretty good)--but you have to remember, this isn't a AAA game nor a AAA publisher/developer. So, I wouldn't say cut them slack...just remember this isn't EA (thankfully), DICE, RockStar, etc.
@brusto Yep, those guys who gave you the money bags called the cops on you. They're the traitors, not the players. Disappointing, but I'm also thankful Overkill decied NOT to do that, Co-op is a big deal in Payday 1 and 2, so there's no ened to put that into jeopardy.
It should be noted that in alternate events they may decide not to betray you, or you can choose to betray them.
@xxxxTRISTAMxxxx Have any of you naysayers who state that this game plays like a PS2 game ever played a PS2 game? Serious question.
Also, good on you for judging a game entirely on its graphical fidelity and not its originality or gameplay quality. The industry needs folks with that mindset to afford a new swimming pool for their third mansion.
This would be a nice feature and a realistic approach. You don't go into battle carrying 30 mags anyway, unless you're carrying a backpack full of mags, in which case it should slow you down. 8-10 mags tops. And I agree about each mag retaining its round count despite switching to a new mag. It would be a refreshing feature to a shooting game. They actually had this on the old Socom games.
@Ba8e Back in the day Rainbow Six only let you carry a limited number of mags and it remembered how many rounds you had left in each so when you reloaded you were actually just swapping your mags. Eventually you would come back around to the original and only have the 2 rounds or whatever you left in it before you had to move on to the next partially used up mag.
@Ba8e its a video game moron it doesn't have to be realistic
@gamemonster23 Some of the missions will have an intro. If you listen to the GameSpot's E3 demo of the bank heist, one of the dev's says something along the lines of, "and here is where we would insert a short cutscene to help with the feeling of the robbery..." (or something similar)
@Armyboy5 Have you ever seen the game called "The last of us"? ;)
The humans in the game could be looking right at you scratching their heads!
@nick-nikol You obviously never played a ps2 game
@dmblum1799 Luckily for players like you there's always the option to go guns blazing in each map. In fact, some maps don't even allow for a silent approach.
But the stealth in Payday isn't the best part; the best part is getting caught while you're stealthing. So if you intend on picking this title up I recommend stealthing it anyway.
@str8killa007 At least you didnt have to sit through this horrible Oreo/Target ad with it's tongue-clicking noises
@rem234 That's always the problem for me. Finding enough gaming friends who want to play the same game at the same time.
If you can pull that off the game looks like a good time.
@cursealoud But you cannot deny the developer's sheer amount of enthusiasm. You can tell he's having the time of his life.
@Aleksa8 Yeah, I agree. If the players could betray the others, it would be a troll fest. No one would trust no one and probably 95% of the heists would fail due to greed.
@Aleksa8 Come on now. Call of Duty: Ghost's sales numbers are sure to prove that people aren't hung up on graphics. Or gameplay. Or storyline. Or empathetic characters.
@analogjunkie24 You cant tell him shit. He will assure that this game is the best thing since the GTA4 bank robbery
@Aleksa8 I didn't know there was such a mode. Indeed, it could be something quite cool, but it would have to be unbalanced. Payday has always been about 4 robbers killing hundreds of policemen. The cops would have to be weaker or something like that. But still, a very good idea.
@brusto @Aleksa8 Indeed. Though I would like to see a mode similar to RE6's Agent Hunt. Not an actual VS mode, but the opportunity to join a game as a cop and make life difficult for everyone. :P It's actually the reason I bought and own RE6: Players invading my game. That's actually pretty terrifying.
@UofODucks8 @Tuben3 @Armyboy5
you would be a guard at some place & you'd notice some1 sticking a
gun at your face asking you to put down your gun, then if your colleague
would walk past by.. Would you alert him?
I'm sure that I wouldn't.
- example of The last of us AI, there's even better examples but this
is the first I found. Also notice that here it's broad daylight.
