Path of Exile - Scion Class and New Updates - Now Playing
Erick is joined by Chris Wilson of Grinding Gear Games to show off a new class, new monsters, and new areas in Path of Exile.
A lot of stuff in this game looks pretty uninspirated to me, but I can't really tell not having played the game myself.
A lot of people think it's good, so I hope it won't disappoint me!
Should have been a 9+. The 3D world, along with mega evolutions and new pokemon as well as new battle animations. Anyway, Pokemon Y FTW
Tescos started selling it Thursday and Argos sold it to me today. Good old street day breaks :D
The Torchic event already works
"In previous games, a pokemon's base stats could be only marginally affected through the use of specific items. (...) Super Training adds another complex layer of strategy and planning to the game"
Not true. Super Training is just a new, simpler way of EV (effort value) training, which has always been a huge part of competitive battling. The difference is that previously we gained EVs by battling wild Pokemon and the interface didn't show how much we earned, players had to calculate it on their own. Now it's much simpler and clearer, so everyone can immediately understand and use the system.
question : does anyone know how to get a list of reviews in order from highest score for the 3ds on the new website ?
Gotta love PoE -- it's replaced Diablo within my heart of hearts, plus it's free to play. How the h*ll does that work, anyway? Honestly... how do they make money on that?
They forgot to mention the game is about farming orbs, which you then trade to get gear. And that there is a crafting system with those same orbs, that hardly anyone uses because it's much more efficient to buy gear. So in that regard it's similar to games with AH...u farm stuff, u buy upgrades. Self-found = rng on top of rng so you can rng even more. I played for around 4 months, self found, haven't found even 1 piece of gear that is considered above average. Meh.
Oh, and that playing in parties trivializes a big part of the game.
I like it. However, the map seems to need some work done, and the monsters could move more? like maintaining the DPS, but doing more attacks per second with less dmg?
Really liked the beta. Looking forward to final release. Much better than Diablo3 without the 2-year hype as well.
Will it still require no lifing just to get anywhere.
The trade system he is describing is exactly what I suggested on the D3 forums, but of course those AH dickriding morons gave piss poor excuses as to why it wasn't better.
I can't wait for the release!! I've been playing on and off since closed beta but always find myself coming back to the game because of how awesome the developers are. Chris hooked up the gaming organization I used to run with closed beta keys to giveaway to our followers and members which was awesome.
Of course I'm excited about the new class but I think I'm most excited about the conclusion to act 3 and the new gems.
@CyberLips Well that's not gonna happen.
@SteadyingMeat What? You didn't know that Pokemon X and Y was going to be all about killing monsters, finding loot and gathering experience orbs? Also that it was going to be online and made by Blizzard? Come on, man! Get with the program! :)
@Alecmrhand Yep, videos not working here either
@Alecmrhand on Google chrome yes but works on Internet Explorer just fine
@shreddyz after RoS you will be kissing blizz (in store buying RoS) hahahahah.....in the mean time enjoy bath in shit (poe)
@FeliciousClank PC ELITE MASTER RACE! Awe...it doesn't work :D
@FeliciousClank Will launch for steam, so maybe you can get playing then. Is AWESOME game.
@Naswari Yet you are here
@ropumar The numbers only tell you how much someone ELSE liked the game, not how much you will like it. Raging over someone else not liking a game is pretty stupid. It's the content of the review itself which is much more important -- how buggy is the game, does the gameplay represent something that you personally enjoy, and so on. I don't like every game that gets a 9+ rating, nor do I hate every game that is rated below 9.
The rating system is screwed up anyway. Thumbs up or down would be better because that would mean that people would have to actually read the review itself to find out about the game.
@ropumar Or you could just take the unprecedented step of just playing your game instead of spending your time trawling sites to see if everyone likes it or not.
@hazey89 I kinda wish they gave us Closed Beta players some things for being beta testers, but yeah i've been playing off and on too
@Scorpion1813 Why would you even want to 'replace' Diablo 3.
@Scorpion1813 Have you ever heard of a free-to-play multiplayer PC game that wasn't online?
@Scorpion1813 they are from NZ, when they announce patches and stuff they usually confuse everyone, thats why he is using US time since gamespot is an american website
@Scorpion1813 There are other countries?! :o
You know people who don't know where NZ is?
Wow, we must run in very different circles...
