Operation Flashpoint: Red River Ryan Balletto Biog Video
This official movie tells the story of auto-rifleman Ryan Balletto with plenty of fresh gameplay footage.
Hate games like this that are just like MoH, Americans so great and all arabs so evil and bad. Usually end up having rubbish story lines.
Didn't like the video(The dialogue SUCKED!), hope the game is better? Turned me off to even considering this game when it comes out.
This looks terrible. It is a boring, cliche, and nearly offensive trailer from a company that put out an inconceivably bad previous installment in "Dragon Rising." It was a disaster, and was absolutely bailed out hardcore PC community working on it and supporting it. If you buy this, expect to walk through buildings in the single-player campaign, baby the AI with terrible controls, and generally find out why Codemasters won't let the prestigious "Operation Flashpoint" name go; They make terrible shooters, and without it, NO ONE would buy them. Ever.
wow...i lost count on how many cliches were used in this "trailer". Good graphics, but poor art design. Maybe its the trailer, but this game bores me to tears
I actually like the characer, he is a break from the stereotypical modern combat army soldier that is seen in video games, and he has personality, something alot of other characters lack. I like this game so far, I want to see where it goes.
Some true words here. The worlds a big place, with many different personalities. This gunner sounds real enough.... If, in real life, you can have soldiers who are meant to be keeping prisoners of war in prison in Bagdad - end up doing unbelievable things like piling them up in a heap, sex acts, torture with dogs and tying them up on a cross, then a southern accent guy, whose speaks with a voice of descent wanting some payback seems pale in comparison.
I love these character profiles. They really delve into each character's thoughts and feelings which is rare in an fps.
Now that I saw the vid, I do agree he isn't very likeable. Which is probably why he has been left behind while the guys he joined with were promoted.
this isn't the guy you are going to be, unless you pick automatic rifleman during campaign or coop modes. This is just the automatic rifleman in your team. They are just doing 4 vids to show off the 4 different classes. The sgt. knox vid made you like him way more than this guy. Each character will be very different this time around, some guys you might like ... others you wont. I think they are trying to give the characters exaggerated voice styles because in hardcore mode there is nothing on screen, not even a box that tells you range and distance so you have to go off who said it and what they said. At least this time around every marine doesn't sound like GenericAmerican1.mp5 and so on. Don't worry though, I doubt you'll hear much from these guys during missions.
I feel like if I do buy the game I should get a hell of a discount for putting up with Dragon Rising.
I don't identify with this video. Is this the guy I'm going to "be" if I play this game? All disjointed and self-contradicting with a southern accent? The characters from Bad Company 2 got a lot more across with a lot fewer words.
