Did you enjoy this video?
WOW, I cannot wait. Yea good ol days, I loved this game. To play it in HD, SOLD!!!
....Can we stop it with the re-makes, and make a new game already?
You can use the 2d and a half tech for all we care: give us a new genius story and new challenges and content, and we're set, and stick to the Oddysee / Exodus gameplay please.
Excellent Interview !!!
CANT WAIT !!!!!!
- get a bit rid of the massive tearing and I'm entirely cool with this remake

Finally!!! This game was awesome, simply perfect, everyone should try it, characters, history, can't wait!.Oddysee and Exoddus 10/10 (PS1).
now big question will the remake be on xbox 360? it would be awesome if it was. i still remember playin the original on my old Play Station 1.
Fascinating interview! I really enjoyed the perspectives on the industry and its evolution. Can't wait to get this.
I REMEMBERED THE FIRST TIME I PLAYED ABES ODDYSEE ON THE PSONE DEMO DISK THAT CAME WITH THE PS1. WITH OTHER GAMES LIKE ITELLIGENT CUBE , MGS , WIPE OUT
I'm so happy this game is being remade, hopefully they'll see it's popularity and they made a full fledged sequel
I'll be getting this.
is this a remake from the original ps1 titles are a sequel please i hope its a sequel
When I compare this to the original, the original still holds up. Also worried about the change from old screen-to-screen switching to scrolling. When you stepped into a new screen, you saw all the information you needed, like hey there's a slig sleeping, so I'd better sneak if I move. WIth the scrolling, the line is unclear when you need to start sneaking if you can see that slig sleeping - just an example. The nature of how it was made also seemed to be somewhat tile-based or something originally, which was perfect for the challenging puzzle-platformer it was, because EVERYTHING you did was precise, there was never any guessing.
Anyway, that being said. The original Abe's Oddysee was apart of defining the PSX and that gaming period in my childhood, and I got a big grin when I saw Lorne Lanning on stage live at the PS4 conference, and heard some of the press cheer too. A greater plan beyond this may mean that they see a real sequel to Oddysee/Exoddus viable if this remake is successful enough and proves interest
I don't mind them going back to this as a remake as I like seeing the world in a sharper resolution. What I'm not so sure about is the way the scrolling changes the mechanics of the game, and the speed of the running and the animations seem almost like slow-motion when compared to the original.
The scrolling I can live with, it doesn't need to stay the same, but the snappy movement is one of the reasons I love those old games, and THE reason I hold them above the games that inspired them.
It's a work in progress so I'll reserve further judgement, afterall this could all work out just fine, even if I don't end up liking it.
@Gliave Remakes in HD are the best dude!! wind waker hello? Mind you they do add stuff to the remake. Nothing beats old school video games, they don't make them like they used to. Now remixed in HD is a treat!!!
@lewishim666 Yup. PS4 version for me.
They said it's a remake. It's also called Abe's Odysee all the games in the oddworld universe have different names so if it was a sequel it would have a different name.
