I assume that they minimized the dust to allow us to see more detail, but I can't be sure. I'm looking forward to utilizing my Televisions full capacity :D
Dust could use some work, it's a little too... I dunno, it doesn't settle right, and it should spread out more. Still, from a pure tech perspective, not really worrying about tweaking it to make it look great, this is pretty awesome looking.
The Gtx 680 will be replaced soon(before the ps4 comes out probably). Everything it does will be irrelavant. Nvidia is just trying to sell what's left of the 680 before the 700 series comes out. I am not sure when nvidia will release next gen cards but I know amd will release their next gen in summer or fall.
Smoke seems pretty heavy...settles down quickly with no sense of dispersion.
Huge amount of debris dynamically interacting with each other ...looks very good.
The problem is that we can't use this tech together with the new face tech because the frame rate for sure will be way below 30 frames on most of the High end cards if not all. this years tech seems very very promising.
sorry for my ignorance, but didnt they say that they want to focus now on full 1080p games running smoothly on 60fps?? whats better??
Not really that impressed.. DICE has the frostbite engine that looks alot more impressive than this. They prob thought it would be more impressive because they destroying an arab building but they shouldnt have wasted their time making this video.
just think how out of this world well the next mass effect game well be beautiful already but just think what the future holds
@poncho174 You dont really understand how this works, when you say next gen of gpu's it's the same thing as "a new architecture of processors" and kepler got out last year so the 700 series will be based on kepler. They have 2 more architectures to launch , they said 2014 if I remember, for the next one C:

@kljhkll That's the effect of Physx engine, I'm playing games with such effects for a while now...Get a decent gpu and u'll experience such effects in borderlands 2 and Mafia 2.
@moataz1993 Well said. I agree with him. The smoke looks unnatural & it breaks equally on each section which would never happen.
@maghdie Except that Frostbite only allow destruction of specified parts and isn't dynamically.
@maghdie The day i see a building dinamically tilt over in Frostbite kind of like this tech demo can simulate... ill give DICE some credit for destruction.

@Gle4se @poncho174 I know about architecture, that is why I did not get a 7990 or a 690 cause I will be getting an 8000 series card as soon as it comes out this year. I am not an amd fanboy that is just who I am going with for the next while. It would seem strange for nvidia to keep the same architecture when amd is updating theres for the 8000 series. I have an Asus 7970 that I can overclock to 1125 no problem so I am not in a hurry for the next gen but still probably a day one buyer of the 8000 series cards.

I understand what makes a card next gen, that is why I am not going to get a 7990 or 690 and defiantly not a Gtx Titan cause that card is retarded lol I can't believe people would buy a Titan.
