Im a massive fan of of the NBA 2K franchise and have played every NBA 2K game since Jesus was a boy. But looking at this on the Wii U, I don't like it. I own these games on the Xbox and find that play calling and matchup calling can be done quite easily with the D pad during game. Im not keen however to be looking down at the gamepad and trying to adjust my team while taking my eyes off the actual game. This IMO will make it more annoying to play with than the regular PS or Xbox games.

Finally played the demo on the eshop... Mediocre ill pass.. Same old 2k but it actually isn't a good port at all. Plus the gamepad features are not needed

I really love this guy's view of console hardware and how he decides to take advantage of it... as well as not over do it to the point where it's a novelty that no one cares about. This is the first video that I've seen on gamespot where a developer actually has anything good to say about the Wii U and comparing it realistically to the other systems. I love my Wii U, and I really want to see developers embrace it for what it is, and not feel like they have to develop some crazy unique features just because there's a tablet. I'm not a sports fan, but I almost wanna get this game... just to show support for 3rd party games on the WIi U.

Let me be honest: I clicked on the video because the thumbnail showed some guy holding a WiiU pad. I couldn't care less about a sports game.

Wow the video totally crapped out, never seen it this bad compared to other gaming sites.

Ive been playing videogames since 1989.

Im a big Nintendo fan. I buy all of there systems

I also buy Sony and Microsoft systems.

I love hard core games and casual games and I in no way approach my Nintendo systems as my console for casual gaming.

The Wii got plenty of "core games"

But not as much as it could have.

I hope the WiiU gets a bit more of a fair shot from developers.

He says some very interesting about developing games for different platforms. It would be cool if he couls be in some kind of podcast.

That's actually very interesting. It's really cool when developers actually try to use the tools that the different consoles offer.

That is just too sickening for words. Besides, I have to keep my mouth shut and manage the rising nausea...

I never would have thought that a sports game would/could sell me on a WiiU.  Maybe this rates another look.

Hmm. Apart from NBA Jam, NBA2k13 would be the Wii U basketball comeback.

Well, never had seen NBA2K footage so when they started playing, since I wasn't really looking at screen, first few seconds I looked at it I genually thought it was a real life game, not simulator. Then I noticed the blue below the player and realised it.

This is to say that the game camera is really well done. In FIFA, I always know it's a game because it has a fixed view point, they don't do a close up footage of a play, which happens during real life game coverages. But here, since the playing field is way smaller, there is no real need for it and that makes it seem real.

As for being the Wii U version, doesn't have any real incentive to choose over the others so...

WOW, this looks friggin' AMAZING! I'll definitely be picking this one up for the Wii U.
