Hey, i know that game, its similar to World of Tanks.
MechWarrior online has been launched.
Is there any MechWarrior hack or cheat? :)I tried finding it here but no success.
I dont see why this could not have been on a console which can play these graphics, the controls would be easier in my opinion, though not hard now, but would also be able to use mics whichi s a huge deal.
This game is very disappointing I dont see myself investing time or money into this.
I prefer just playing mech warrior mercenaries since it's free, had mp unless it still does dont know, and since it's free and comes with a huge assortment of mechs to use, plus is way more fun since you can command a team with you, not just going out lone wolf on this crappy game.
I hope that comes out on console and has splitscreen co-op mode as brother and i love playing godo splitscreen games. Something that seems be dying these days. Shame not many mech games like mechwarrior or gundam those were good
the game is just mechwarrior 4's multiplayer with a cap the base option, updated graphics and only 8v8. I am disappointed, and regret purchasing founders pack.
I played battletech waaaay back when your mech were little cardboard pieces and I have to say Hawken is looking better. I don't like to admit that either. It's not the pacing that's the problem. I like MWO's pace. It's everything else.
I remember back when I thought we were going to get a reboot with a campaign in it.
Then that lawsuit came and next we know we get this free to play thing. :(
This was my favorite game back when it first came out long ago. While it's free to play I noticed the pricing on this game is absurd, even at a free to play level it's pretty over the top. Game play looks great though and I can't wait for the public beta. I am sure it will be lots of fun.
if you have heat sinks in your legs it will increase. the people reviewing this have no idea what they are doing.
I noticed that heat dissipation doesn't increase while in water--that's strategically disappointing.
You have failed as a beta tester and as a previewer. You have failed to read the guides in the Beta Guides forum for how to handle a mech and keyboard controls. You have relayed this misinformation on in your video. You have also failed to target enemy mechs which helps your team mates out. Your lack of knowledge of the game is very telling.
The other parts of the video are regarding the lore of the universe. When you talked about specific mechs being classes you looked like an idiot since specific mechs are called chasis and each chasis has a variant. You consistently showed that you do not know the lore of the universe and passed along misinformation. The remedy for this is to make yourself knowledgeable by researching the universe. I would recommend you read up on the universe at http://www.sarna.net.
To think that once upon a time, that a reviewer/previewer journalist had to actually know the subject matter that they were reporting on. You have let all your forebears down in this profession. It is no wonder that people and gamers have such a low opinion of news outlets and journalists at this point in time. They will go out and get their information from other sources leaving you behind as a forgotten footnote in history.
Watching you play was a bit of an embarassment. I'd suggest next time you play something beforehead, get used to the game mechanics.
For instance LRMs needs an active lock on the target. And a small laser (the red thingy) should not fire together with the two large laser (the blue thingies) because only the latter have the range to hit that target.
So yeah...of cause everyone starts as a n00b. The difference is that the typical n00b does not do livestreams in gamespot. ;)
@nine13reaker Not one bit. Very dissapointing to see my most favorite game being represented so poorly.
@Volgin It plays like a sim. A very strict, physics based sim. This vid doesn't do the game any justice.
@Volgin I'd say that MWO in its current state plays a bit like both.
The actual gameplay/combat plays very much like a Mechwarrior game of the past (destroy parts off mechs, overheating, etc). You can also customize your mech (although not nearly as many options as previous mechwarrior games).
The arcade feel to it mostly comes from the lack of game modes (only 1 mode right now, and it kinda sucks) and lack of items/mechs for customization. Also, it's still missing a lobby chat (so communication between mech pilots is lacking severely). There's ZERO lore in this game, it's just a matchmaking service (a poor one at that), that pits 8 vs 8 mech against each other. Nothing more than that.
They still have a long way to go to get it up to par with past mech games.
@Volgin 100% Sim (if there really were walking robots!)
They have done a good job of staying true to the older games. There is a fairly steep learning curve when it comes to strategy/load out and very little in the way of help/tutorials as of yet but by the time the game comes out and the developers have finished nurfing and buffing that should change.
Hawken is going the arcade twitch shooter route. But with it being F2P as well it is going to be a good year for giant fighting robots.
@Gelugon_baat Whats wrong with that? It doesnt take long to get any amount of stuff in game. One, there isnt much to purchase because its in beta, and two, how is a game supposed to improve and innovate if it doesn't have the money to do it. Developers have to eat too.
@Landsharkk @Volgin Remember it is still the closed Beta. Today alone they added added the Cicada (CDA) to the BattleMech lineup as well as 3 more variants of existing Mechs. On top of all of that, they added new upgrades. Ferro Fibrous armor, Endo-Steel Internal Structure and Double Heat. Soon they should start rolling out the informational warfare equipment and pilot modules.
That's why it's beta.
