Bond is still the original action hero, people pay for the franchise, not the actors since Connery. I agree that multi can take a leap off of the Contra Dam,I'm tired of the campaigns feeling tacked on to an arena/ deathmatch game.
I'm a bit over the idea of having a 007 video game be a COD clone. When I play the games, I want to feel like Bond, and I don't often remember him taking up an assault rifle and cutting through thirty bad guys.James Bond games need to be more like Alpha Protocol, with RPG elements. Still make them linear, sure, but please give a little variety to the gameplay. Give me a classic Bond chase scene, followed by a classic Bond shootout (with pistols and like six guys - no need to overdo it), and then let me get in a grisly fistfight with someone before bedding some European model. That's the Bond game I'd like to play.
I know they said he has gadgets in this game but i really do miss all the gadgets we use to get with the older bond games, like back in the day on the PS2,i doubt he will have any where near as many as he use to,one of my favs was the grappling hook plus others of course.
This won't be a day one buy for me but maybe a rental we will see.
only six missions?:( Agent Under Fire, Nightfire, Everything or Nothing and From Russian with Love are all great Bond PS2 games, if you haven't played them I think you should...especially Nightfire and EON.
NO.... I DO NOT like Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan was 10 times better. If it was him staring in this game I would seriously consider getting it. They MESSED UP get a different guy for Bond.... Or let Brosnan do the games damn it, your sales will DOUBLE.
It looks ever so slightly off taste but this might be worth reliving in typical Bond style. I enjoyed Agent Under Fire and Nightfire back on the PS2. Goldeneye Reloaded demo was cool but I don't know if this can compare to any 007 games I mentioned and played. I can only sign for a good enough review
@DarbyXCrash Have you played Bloodstone? That's an ace Bond game and has all the things you describe.
not even close Pierce SUCKED BIG TIME!! you clearly know nothing.
@RuthlessRich Exactly! Bloodstone was incredibly awesome and all reviewers said it's shallow, generic, scriptic and disappointing. That game was exactly how a James Bond game should be, not too Splinter Cell, not too Call of Duty. And still they went for the CoD approach and reviewers are going to praise it for this, making the next game in the series more shallow, more generic and scriptic.
@merlijnmolen @Hawkeye049 Peronally, Daniel Craig is my favorite Bond. I like how dark he makes the character. That's just my opinion, though. I wanted to explain that there's a licensing deal afoot between the film company and Activision. They own the rights to Daniel Craig's likeness to be used in games, but no others. Also, since these games act as cross-promotion for the films (and vice versa), then they figure people will want to play as the actor they just saw, or are being encouraged to see.
@enartloc you are Implying that MGM went bankrupt because the games is short so i tell you that call of duty is the same length...
@Williambatson No! that just means that americans have shit taste, because quantum of solace is THE shittest bond film of all closely followed by never say never again (which was a remake of thunderball). Your taste is invalid when it comes to bond.
@slayerSS-3 people play cod because of the multiplayer.People play movie themes games because of the single player storyline.
