No Man's Sky - The Story of Hello Games
Meet the studio behind No Man's Sky.
game looks fantastic so far and gives me a Mass Effect/Rescue on Fractalus/Elite combined vibe.
day ONE on PS4, but will have to get it on Xbox for the achievements.
Sean Murray is brilliant!
Not even large companies with hundreds of artists and collaborators, dare to move forward with such a bold and ambitious concept! Hello Games had its airtime at E3 2013, and quickly caught the attention of major companies to the point of having a prominent place in the Sony conference at E3 2014. The result is obvious. No Man's Sky is among the most talked about and anticipated games in the gaming community, alongside, or even ahead of big names like Assassin's Creed, CoD, Battlefield, etc ...!
Incredible achievement and truly deserved :)
I wish them nothing but the best. If Murray's passion and ambition is genuine then he must succeed for the good of the industry. Not to mention this is absolutely amazing.
I'm a PC guy, owned a PSOne, years ago, and never cared for anything PS or XBOX related. Things have changed tho. I'm getting a PS4 just because of this. This is magical. Thanks for being so awesome guys!
Too much hype in the comments below. >.> People will be hating on it by the time it actually comes out I'm sure of it. I've seen it happen a lot lately.
Seriously though, I wish this game was already out. :( Super excited for it, seems like -almost- everything I've wanted in a game like this. I would have liked to see more socializing abilities, cause the idea of groups of people taking on a planet and colonizing it and forming economies and rules and governments sounds amazing.. Among other things. I'll take this though. It's close enough!
I am so profoundly excited about this game. The concept, the enthusiasm of the team, and the gameplay we've seen so far easily makes this my most anticipated game.
When? When? WHEEENNNN?!?!
This is a really cool idea. It gives me hope for the future that the industry still have guys like this that are willing to go beyond the norm. I wish them luck with it and hope everyone gets to play it at some point.
This literally looks like the greatest game ever, I really hope it isn't an exclusive cause everyone should play this!
A big seller for me is not only how amazing the game sounds and looks, but how this guy talks. I can tell he's genuine and humbled by people believing in him and the company. I can tell he's not trying to trick people or pull a quick one. The game isn't being over marketed either. They're just letting it speak for itself. We need more companies like this. I do wonder ONE thing, is this going to be an indie game, or a full on disc release? It doesn't make any difference to me, just wondering.
@oo_yungstar_oo This isn't coming to xbox. If you want achievement farming go play a transformers game or something. Me and my friends used to farm as well, but we quickly realized it was a huge waste of time a few years later.
@oo_yungstar_oo Achievements ruin games. They cescribe a list of activities that would have been more fun to discover were possible for yourself rather than systematically go and mark off on some checklist thought up by a developer who thinks they are witty.
@ERRMAHGERD If you're PC guy then why don't you get this on PC?
@LucentWolf Colonizing, forming economies, rules and govts all sounds really cool, but I'm not sure this game will really support that kinda stuff. It's still early and hard to say, but I'm getting a feeling like it's not that kinda game. During E3 interview he actually stated they don't want people to spend a lot of time hunkering down on one planet, that they hadn't really designed the game for that and want people to be moving to new planets often.
@abczby maybe timed exclusive ? Cause like, they're gonna grow out of sony's reach and just be recognised and have impact. I hope so. I'd rather play this on a PC.
@Stebsis @ERRMAHGERD Because it's a time exclusive, coming out on PS4 first and PC like a year later and xbox one never
@hystavito Oh, I know all that and realize it. I was only saying, it's something that I'd like and that I am a little sad it isn't present in this game. That it was about the only thing I felt the game has going against it.
