The only thing that bothers me about the 2DS is my prediction for the next 3DS was that it would still support 3D but not support backwards comparability with DS games so I was wrong on both counts. I am not gonna buy one but I guess Nintendo decided there was a demand for such a thing and they made it. More people owning a 3DS can only mean more great games for me so I'm all about it.
Does anyone really care? Aside from Animal Crossing, Pokemon X/Y and Fire Emblem... okay so the 3ds has some decent games, but it looks like someone sat on a 3ds and made this new contraption. It looks hideous!
I don't see why ppl complaining about the 2ds its just another way of nintendo showing their loyalty towards their fans who want to get a 3ds but cant afford it....giving them a second option to still enjoy the 3ds games in a less cheaper way
I don't think an XL version could happen since the controls are already moved up on the normal 2DS so that you can reach the triggers at the top, on an XL version there would be too much weight unbalance with your hands at the top of the bigger screens especially for smaller hands.
If they do make an xl version, I think they should bring the hinge back for it so it's more portable, because I don't mind paying an extra 20$ for that. There must be a way to make the hinge lock so it doesn't snap off.
People complain all the time about Nintendo wanting to make money but I can't see the problem. People almost never use the 3d thingy on their 3ds, I also like the look of it and besides that it's also cheaper.. If you want a 3ds or in this case a 2ds, it's a nice offer. Just stop the pointless bashing.
Lol at the duplicated Tom intro. "What do you think, is that about an 8?" "Yeah, it's an 8." Great play!
You can disable the 3-D on the 3-DS and put parental controls on so it can not be turned on. I did it for my neighbors' 6 year old.
They mention that Nintendo will shift its focus on making more 2D games...seems like 3DS owners get the middle finger!
So what's the difference between a Nintendo 2DS and a Nintendo DS? They're the same except one lacks hinges.
Oh, come on, Nintendo. Really?3ds is good on its own. No need to design something new...
All we need is more stuff on current 3ds hardware, (and yes, I'm talking about Miiverse!...!) = proper messagin' system.
Urrh McShea, ur terrible please go and review knitwear for grandma weekly or something. Just leave gaming alone because you don't have a clue
My favorite part of the 2DS commercial is just the, I'm assuming from the ad, father and son sitting on the couch and they just keep looking at each other and shaking their heads. I can just hear the dad's thought bubble of "If you beat me one more time in Mario Kart you're going up for adoption. Heh heh heh. (shakes head)"
I really want to buy one of these, but since Nintendo always outdates their systems with too many models I will just wait. I won't be buying a 2DS until there is a 2DS XL or official word that there won't be an XL.
@mystwade theres a switch on the bottom to tell the system to go into sleep mode as if you have closed the system so maybe that would work for games where you have to fully close it
but it may leave you stuck at some puzzles without the visual reference where you have to half fold the system like in Another Code,
I want to go back to another code now that was one of my favourite ds games
@honeycomb06 Because other people think Nintendo is forcing them to buy the handheld.
@Xenro4 Then it would just be a regular DS, but XL...which they already did.
@xsonicchaos Those people are like "I'm so happy because I got paid to pose like this".
@Bartrentenaar Honestly I agree I talked to a guy working at GameStop and he told me about the 2DS he said he usually turns off his 3D on his 3DS as is. He did mention the 2DS was to be aimed at small children but he said it would definitely be worth getting because its cheaper since I said I wanted a 3DS but do not have the money for that. And I did want an XL but i can settle for less if its affordable
@wweraw123 But the Shwartz isn't with them this time.
@Mayleene Not many seem to know this.
@fgjnfgh how does a larger screen sound bad?
@PupilsDilated Personally, I count "one" on my thumb, not middle finger. ;)
3DS -1 = 2DS.
But... there may be other schools?
@PupilsDilated The Nintendo DS can't play 3DS games.... Thats kind of a big difference.
@Microsteve Didn't grandma talk about respect and how you can discuss with other people by putting together a logic-based reasonning?
@hotcheese0 You mean you believe he's lying when he says you can't play with 3D effect on the 3DS??? (Nah, just kiddin', Big N just got it weird there)
@hotcheese0 I was kinda hoping the screen would have been TLoU but perhaps that would have been a bit too trolly.
@hotcheese0 he's an insufferable bore
@Bjwalker1371 @PupilsDilated You mean it can, but not in 3D, right?
So it plays only "S" games (3DS - 3D = S ?)
