I found dead space scary, and I'm 18. Then again, I was playing after midnight, and getting in the mood lol.
I hope all you guys/girls who are moaning that this game is too scary are actually old enough to play it. For some reason I doubt any of you are 18 or over. This game was rated M for a reason. The kids are killing the horror genre.
dead space was/is awesome, kinda kept u alert, through random screams and noises echoing thtoughout the ship lol was cool loved it .... hope 2 doesnt disappoint
Im not a big fan of scary games i just don't like it, games should be fun and enjoyable but once i played Dead Space i thought WOW this is a great game and yea after like 2 chapters it wasn't that scary anymore because you know what to expect.
you people need to STOP putting the game was to scary for you to play. if you have been reading up on Dead Space 2 they said there goin to turn down the scare facter alittle because of people like you which is a shame because Dead Space was an awesome horror game and i would like the same amount if not more scares in the 2nd. so for the people that do find this to scary stop writing to EA about how it was to scary to play and get your mom to sit in for the 2nd bunch of babes
What can I say- I don't scare easily, but after I played DS for about 15 to 30 min. into the game and then quit, it took me 3 months to muster-up the courage to play through the whole game. It was THAT nerve-wrecking! DS2 should be a blast too. Looking forward to it.
Let's hope they GET RID OF THE STUPID RAIL SHOOTER/ASTEROIDS segments... We were just discussing the first game on an unrelated board, and THREE people quit playing the game during the first meteor segment. I agree; I literally walked away from it -- those should either be 100% optional or removed completely. It just takes players right out of the core gameplay experience!
I'm about to get the first dead space but I'm having seconds thoughts because it scares the crap out of me. lol
I just hope EA will add some new and innovative gameplay elements to the sequel. They have a nasty habit of releasing sequels with no noticeable improvements that feel more like expansion packs.
i hope they read this and will change control because in the first game control ruined a beautiful game, please EA don t f.....up again
if they are going to make a movie it better be an anime like the last movie they made and i cant wait till dead space 2 comes out
i dunno if iwas that impressed with dead space, the whole environment seemd too similar and began to drag out alot of the storyline.
making a film of dead space? oh dear, something tells me that is going to be a pile of crap. Nothing can match the awesomeness of the game. It's something you have to play and interact with, not just watch.
the first game was touching perfection, EA can make the sequel a big 10. its up to the developers...
@SuprSaiyanRockr Yea im surprised GS still hasnt had the new screen captures of deadspace 2. this game is going to be hot i cant wait 8). GI magazine has alot of info on the game and isaac has a new look
I heard about the story... it starts out in a hospital. The game is set in a city infesteded with Necromorphs. Also, apparently, Isaac has developed dementia (to some extent) from contact with the marker, and the developers are going to try and incorporate that into the gameplay. I also look forward to a new weapon called the javelin gun, which impales necromorphs and pins them to the wall :D (source of this information: interview in gameinformer magazine)
Just one thing.... What the HELL is up with that reviewer guy's voice?? He sounds wasted off his t!ts, garbling his words, and rattling away at such a rate, I couldn't make out approximately a quarter of he was trying to say. Erm.... not cool - Lay off the speed, guy!
dead space was great, hopefully this one will be too. P.S., the framerate of dead space always wandered around 30-33, though it didnt effect the gameplay, but just a considerable glich for people who are counting gliches.
@trotromiel I did find 4 gliches. 1 was in the captain's bedroom (and the bedrooms around that). You could walk right through the recliner like chairs. 2 was when you were pulling the marker in chapter 11. It could get stuck a times. The 3rd glitch i found was that in chapter 12 when you are attacked in the first room after moving the marker, was that the force gun could kill the dark necromorphs (has the 2 blade hands) with one hit very close up or up to 4 hits very close up (worked with some others also). the last glitch i found was (again in chapter 12) that you couldn't break the green boxes up close with the force gun even with multiple hits, then in the first room you move the marker into (when it goes to quarentine) i was able to smash three of those boxes with one hit from 15 feet. Otherwise there were no glitches that i found/ remember. The game was very good though. :)
Dead Space was one of the first games I got on my Xbox 360 as it came out just a couple of months after i bought the console. To this day it is still one of the most well thought out and put together games i have ever played of the genre and on this platform of console. I have faith in these developers and I sincerely beleive they will better it. Or I will kill them all!!!! :)
The adrenaline rush will return. I hope that they will not rush it out the door and that the storyline will offer a true sequel that will keep us feeding on the adrenaline rather than crashing from the same old comments that plague some sequels, "been there and done that"! Kudos to the development team with their first go round, I hope that they are up to this new challenge. The original game was a 10 in my opinion. They have a huge mountain to climb going forward. My hopes are that this development team will continue to be innovative and deliver a gaming experience where we have never gone before. Entertain the hell out of us with the best dam game sequel ever,.....here's for hoping!
i played the first one twice....i keep getting scared. it's the most glitch/bug-free game ever. i think it has the best gameplay engine ever developed. i played a LOT of games...and they all have something to pick on...i could not find anything on this one. i just hope the second can step up to the challenge. :D
hard to fix what is not broken..the first one, IMO, was near perfect. The sound effects were soo amazing and the violin sharp build-up tunes combined with a fine set of headphones kept me on the edge of my chair ..graphics, upgrades and even navigating through your inv without the need to press Esc made this game as complete as possible. Would love it though if they had made the story more interesting..gave us a kickass space sniper ..and let us ride vehicles..or just released the game now with DX11 graphics :))
Why was he dissing Eagle Eye. That was a great movie. As for the game...the first was very well done, and hopefully the sequel can fix the very few flaws of the first.
why are half of you dissin other peoples post with " you were to scared to play it" the game isnt even scary , yeah it has spots were it makes you jump , but it is fun to play and stil is an awsome game ....
Hopefully when they make the dead space movie it will have someone like christian bale or maybe russel crowe and eagle eye was a good movie the main problem of it and transformers and indiana jones 4 being that shia lebouf was in it or is his name shia the poof i dont know anymore
