In the original Super Mario Bros., collecting coins actually meant something because there weren't really all that many of them. It was a challenge and I made it a point to collect as many as possible. Now, it doesn't matter if you collect 1 coin or 100 coins because there will be a thousand more in the next level. It just feels so watered down. I found that in the last couple Super Mario Bros I didn't really care about collecting coins. As an older gamer (33), I would like to see an "edgier" take on the series. Not EVERY game has to be cutesy & cuddley.
why is it that i dont see any yoshi yet... nintendo u suck, really , put yoshi in this think a lil, i really dont feel like playing this just every single thing is awfully yellow and gives me coins wow, yoshi> coins...
i love mario but if nintendo doesnt put a level editor.... IM NOT GETTING THIS, its the same crap nintendo come on!
need giant shroom, need star based multiplayer, need tiny shroom, need cape, need blue turtle shell.
I wonder what is the story behind the everything gold in this game. While it seems it is like the previous New Super Mario game, I expect there will be new things.
What are you doing Nintendo you are ruining the saga, so the whole plot in the game is to get gold coins WOW! really I thought you were creative but nahh you are just making mario games without sense.
@josecer It's not necessarily the whole plot. Besides, the gold rush mode brings a whole new expirience to the franchise. Are you really saying it would me more creative to just make it like NSMB with new levels? If so, I don't think you know what creative means.
@josecer gotta say..the new super mario bros games got old for me real fast. collecting 3 secret gold coins in every level gets too repetitive..
