Need for Speed Rivals - Racer Personalization Gameplay Trailer
Take a look at the personalization, pursuit tech, and performance upgrades in this racer personalization feature for Need for Speed Rivals.
I will never understand why they removed the car customization. I want to be able to make the car actually look different, bumpers, rims, full body kits, spoilers, lights, hood, roof, etc. This looks like you can slap some paint, a stripe, and some stickers and that is their idea of car customization. That is poop and NFS has not been the same since the days of NFS Underground and Most Wanted. This game just looks mediocre.
"NFS: Most Wanted (2005)" was the best (9/10), after that it has been only down hill.
In MW you could totally mod your car, and the story was the real catch, that sense of revenge and fight to get to top. Plus a great map with city and mountains, all surrounded with a long highway wich connected everything.
Is it just me or is this game just Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit from a couple of years ago, just rebranded Rivals because I swear it looks very very similar and if it is that is really lazy couldn't come up with new locations for a supposed new game in the series I see.
A medicore customization system compared to what was in Underground 1 to Shift. Customizing police cars is nice but not enough to make this game interesting.
this still looks like an arcade game. Visually it looks nice, but it's the jumps and collisions or something that make this look silly to me. It's not really a racing game. Forza, Grid, GranTurismo, those are racing games, I don't know what this is. No offense to anyone
@quakke Have you played "NFS Pro Street" that was the worst.
@Bumblebee1138 Yes it does look a bit mediocre and I never played Underground.
@themc_7 Forza Horizon played much more arcadey. It felt more like a Need For Speed game than the recent Need For Speed games. I enjoyed it. But I can see why they left it out of the numbered releases. It was its own thing.
@themc_7 It is supposed to be arcade I think, and that's why I enjoy NFS. If anything I think they're losing the arcade a little bit, and that's sad because even if it tries to aim to be a sim, there will always be tons of racing games that are better but in my opinion nobody does arcade racing like NFS used to do.
@themc_7 You are right it is a arcade-racer this is not a racing sim.
