Here are ten games that I'm anticipating for 2014:
PC: Wasteland 2, Transistor, Child Of Light, Broken Age, Divinity: Original Sin
Playstation: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Murdered: Soul Suspect, Thief, Mirrors Edge 2, Watch Dogs
I really don't expect The Order: 1886 to come out this year, or that would be top of the list.
MLB: The Show, Infamous and The Division for me! May get Titanfall, but CoD:Ghosts might suffice my FPS needs.
watch dogs delay was frustrating, i hope mg5 is as good as previous ones (loose the funny puppet animation though), nintendo are unique in style and game, lets see some more one off Nintendo style games this year.
Most anticipated games for me are Mirror's Edge 2 and Titanfall. I'm also ready to play the hell out of Elder Scrolls Online with friends whenever that comes out for consoles.
Are the Witcher games actually worth playing? Been debating starting them for a while. Otherwise Destiny looks pretty great!
Witcher 3 is one of the amazing games of the year. http://bit.ly/WitchertheGame
They should really curb this dumb broads from speaking too much. I cannot stand female game journalist. They dont know shit unless their name is Morgan Webb. Mary Kish, RYSE Son of Rome was NEVER overhyped and anticipated. It was game we all wanted to see run on next gen but it was never on any hype train
I was going to get a ps4 just for Watchdogs, but that ended up not happening. I really hope this is just them polishing it up and bugfixing instead of trying to crowbar in some things at the last minute just to please the internet trolls who automatically hate everything Ubisoft.
Speaking of games that won't live up to the hype, i'm looking forward to Thief.
I already know its not going to be 'great', because in order to sell they have to water down the difficulty, make everything scripted, dumb down the AI and shoehorn in multiplayer to please the call of duty kids.
Despite all this, i'm still curious.
Also Star Citizen.
Witcher 3 and Titanfall for me. Also, "The Division" when it comes out. The other stipulation I have is that I will only be purchasing games for PC this generation, since that is the only platform I'm planning on using. Consoles are great, but I just don't have the luxury of buying all the systems this time around, so I had to make a choice.
Witcher 3, Dark Souls 2, Dragon Age: Spamonebuttonision, Monster Hunter 4 on 3DS, Bravely Default, Demon's Gaze, Persona Q, Persona 5, Tales of Zestiria, no DRM on Ubisoft PC game so I can finally play AC:BF(I can't connect to conflux).
And tons of jrpgs(Vita and 3DS ones) and indie rpgs or games like Starbound.
So basically if its not a multiplayer centric title most Gamespot staffers are not interested in any other games in 2014. Do these guys actually like video games?
I don't really understand GS staff's cynism towards Nintendo and the Wii U, above all after choosing Zelda: A link between Worlds as GOTY (and Super Mario 3D World for Wii U).
Kevin-V should wear another color than brown, maybe apple green, orange, or sky blue, lest to appear camouflaged.
Meanwhile on the Hype train thats not Painfully obvious,
Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare looks really fun and i cant wait, Its almost been a full year since we saw Yarn Yoshi, hope we see it soon and a release date. Tropical Freeze is coming out next month, the least you could do is acknowledge the brilliant sequel to a brilliant Return.
Dark souls isn't that hard folks! I promise.
It just requires some real-time thinking and optimize (your character) to your play style.
*THE* hardest part of the game is knowing what you can and can not do, physically, as the player. It's okay to go slow and take your time. It's okay to back off and try another area.
As far as announced games go: Dying Light, Mirror's Edge, Thief, The Witcher 3, Evil Within, inFamous: Second Son, Hellraid, Everybody's Gone To The Rapture, Primal Carnage: Genesis and Deus Ex: Universe.
I'm not interested in those online only games although they look good.
Can't say the same about Demon's Souls but Dark Souls is not that hard if you get into a rhythm, plan your character and choose the right equipment. In fact , its one of the most balanced RPG games ever made and thats whats best about it. So Dark Souls 2 and Thief are my personal most anticipated.
Thank you Chris , indeed ,screw Metal Gear Solid.
TitanFall, Watch Dogs Thief, Destiny, The Division, Dragon Age III and Halo 5. My social life is going to suck...
Loving X-Com right now . Bring back the tactical Shooter. Its why i like X-COM its permadeath , it makes gameplay so much more interesting, knowing if a dude dies he aint coming back. A true nextgen Ghost recon 1st person tactical shooter would be epic with todays graphics. I know theres ARMA and i love ARMA, but a less technical version of ARMA. Because as much as ARMA 3 is epic, it is epic, its very complicated. Especially in serious situations.
But i guess titanfall, The Witcher 3, watch Dogs. Thief MAYBE, if they dont make it a qte hold your hand stealth game. The Division.

@trexcommander I've played very little of The Witcher 1, and it's not for everyone (weird combat system). The Witcher 2 on the other hand, if you're around 20 or older, and want an RPG for adults, deep, realistic, serious and UNFORGETTABLE, play it. You will love it. Needless to say it's one of my most favourite games of all time.
@2Black2Strong And most women probably can't stand men like you.
@2Black2StrongBreathe in, breathe out. Woosah. Serenity now. Everything's going to be okay.
@razrabbit Are you kidding? If you talk about Star Citizen then you shouldn't have bought a PS4 for Watchdogs.
@PresidentLogan Yes. Believe it or not nerds are not the only people that play video games. I'm probably considered a nerd because I work in IT and I have a love for technology. But I do enjoy playing shooters with my friends, sports games, and GTA style games. Not everyone thinks Dragon Age and Starcraft are fun games.
We already played countless mario karts and donkey kongs so why should anyone be excited to play the same game for 20th time?
mario 120, zelda 80 and so on, BOOORRINNGGGG
@fateeI totally agree with you. But alot of people these days like to just go in and dominate and not necessarily be so challenged. The game does require alot of patiences. Something that I think is lost in this generation of gaming.
@thomasn7LMFAO i know right mine to.
@evilace_stealth That's why I fucked more bitches between 19-28 than you will ever have in your life. Keep being a sucka and see where that gets ya
@2Black2Strong @evilace_stealth and here comes the "I have had more sex than you, so I am a better person" argument, which of course makes complete sense coming from a random guy trolling a comment section on a gaming review website who calls himself too black. And too strong. Oh, how much we must believe him, for who would lie in the internet! Future generatiosn will weep for this man/boy, for his wisdom cannot be contained by mere mortals.....
@nirvana47 you judged us and insulted our choices, so I'm with disneyskate in this one, you prick.
