The Witcher universe uses the european dark ages as the main inspiration as well as political plots and twists that are amazingly well connected and fantasy........The witcher's universe isn't about killing monsters, it is about war, love, lust, sacrifice, a world in which everybody especially the protagonist looks for a place in which he can fit , subjugation, revenge, hate , knights and thieffs, elves and humans, politics , conflicts , assassins, monsters that have a story, not everything is as you think it is , it isn't white or black it isn't evil or good it is a world where a monster can be good and a human can be rotten to the bone and so on........It is a dark world and a harsh one too.....

CDprojekt is a great company. I got my pc version drm-free. The updates are all free. And best of all. They made me pay the right price in $. Instead of magically transforming 39$ into 39 euro which can't ve said for every freaking publisher. Now they managed to make the futur update for free for console gamers (microsoft usually doesn't let people do that). And the port seems of great quality. Cdprojekt rock !

Stealth_Knight_ : the Wither 2 is a CD projekt (Poland) game and it was originally branded under Namco Bandai. It is not a western game but a European one to the core. Just saying. Also be so kind to clarify what do you mean when sayin originality.

Why are they comparing TW to TES? They are two completely badass games all on their own.. Each game brings something to the table that the other can not top. Which is why they both are very successful. Why is Gamespot trying to start a boxing match between allies?

Well, I believe if TW2 was made by Bioware or Bethesda, the critic score would be 95+/100.

As a PC gamer I am happy all this stuff is coming soon and for FREE. Especially I like attention to details like adding critters.
