Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor Stage Demo - PAX Prime 2014
The Lead Designer of Shadow of Mordor demonstrates the nemesis system and shows a story mission.
This reminds so much, so much of Soul Reaver! This game is going to be awesome.
Makes me want to play soul reaver again.

The nemisis system was a cool idea, sort of, but it seems horribly over used. Really turned off by this demo. It reminds me of football, which I hate... Stand around, think about what your going to do, move stuff around, look at stuff, lock it in, play for 30 seconds, and repeat. Hopefully I'm wrong though.
this is looking like the best single player game of this year it looks so awesome cant wait to play it
They are taking Hobbits to Isengard!!!
Game looks uninteresting for me , i'l give it a try if there will be demo, but it's less likely that i'l buy it.
At the reveal I wasn't interested on this game at all, however as the months pass and details and game mechanics are being revealed I am starting to be quite curious about it. I do hope to get a great LOTR action game!
I just got done watching Desolation of Smaug. It made me more interested in this actually... Furthermore, is there not a live stage video going on? I didn't see one, though I wish there was.
@Kraven1845 I've watched quite a bit of footage, and you don't really spend that much time on that screen. Hell, you only really need to use it as much as you want. If you don't really care about the effects of what you're doing, then you can just kill everything in sight until all of the war chiefs are dead. It really depends on how you want to go about it.
@Kraven1845 Yeah it's not like that.
I've watched like 40 minute gameplay videos (there are a few big ones on youtube) and the nemesis menu isn't overused or doesn't feel overused at all. The actual menu you see is just a tool that you use every now and again. It also appears when you die and for some other reasons. Like when you complete a mission. It won't just randomly popup as your playing or get in your way.
Not to mention the damn thing is so easy to use.
@deivis_sc Sept 30 of this year man!
