Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - Gameplay Walkthrough
Check out this gameplay walkthrough of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, a new story set between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.
Inspired in Batman and Assassins Creed? "Not sure if want"
Don't get me wrong, those are great videogames, but like this game, they put more emphasis in the VIDEO part and not the 'game' part enough. There's a lot of cool stuff to do in Batman, assasins creed and this game, but it's more compelling to see the consequences of your actions than actually perfoming them. That's why I never dug Assassins Creed, or took me so much time to finish batman Arkhamn... something :D.
Looks good: AC Parkour + Batman / Ryse Combat + Orcs.
When it's going to launch? Sure getting this on X1.
I can't help but wonder about the Nemesis system. I think it's a pretty ambitious mechanic, but just how many burnt-faced Orcs will I be decapitating? I guess my skepticism is based on how many reactions the personal enemies will have.
They say that the enemy will remember you based on your actions. I don't want to have to be a few hours into the game and encounter yet another Orc whose face I burnt, and spews out the same lines of text as the previous ones.
I know that we've just seen one instance of this Nemesis system in action, so I'm hoping that there are different ways to maim these enemies, and that their reactions to you are heavily varied.
I'll take slower-paced rhythmic combat any day, thank you. And plenty of blood-letting and Orc decapitations- will suit my bloodthirsty style just fine. :p
Sad thing is you know Talions grand plan isn't going to work, as this is set before the LOTR trilogy and thus Sauron must survive along with his vast army of orcs.
Love how this looks, the nemesis sytem sounds awesome and I love the look of the character models, the movement and combat looks remarkably fluid.
Mashed a whole lot of great game ideas/mechanics together and seamlessly slotted it into a Middle Earth setting, yep I'll be getting this game.
it looks amazing, I expect it to have a multiplayer mode to play with diferent characters in a fellowship
Despite the obvious inspirations from batman and assassins creed this game looks totally awesome, and that nemesis system is definitely one of the coolest ideas I have heard in a while.
This game looks good, but I am afraid the slow motion and quick time sequences will ruin the game. Why not just make a good open world action game, with real time hack and slash action? I hope the quick time/slow mo is optional at least.
I had hopes for this game, but alas, twas not meant to be, for this game contains elements that i severely despise: slow motion, one hit kills, too many cutscenes, quicktime events.... oh god.... RIP middle earth shadow of mordor.........
i just hope when the game come out it will really be as they say in the video..but with all those promises and fake trailers (ahmm ACM anyone?) ive seen and heard about before im not getting hiped for anything anymore... But tbh it looks good if its gonna be lilke that when its out im getting it. but lets wait and see.
Looks AMAZING! I will be sure to pick this up! So glad that it's coming for PC! I just hope it's not a bad port... Also, I hope it doesn't end up being "too easy". The AC games are SOOO easy, I really hope this game turns out to be as good as it looks.
The age of rpgs is upon us! Seriously, there are so many good action/rpgs on their way my head feels like its about to explode from all the excitement.
Wow this is a Lord of the Rings game? Clearly NOT a movie tie-in. I guess this will be my second pre-order this year!
Looks badass. Finally an lotr game that looks decent. I wonder how much of middle earth is going to be open.
So, its Prince of Persia, Assassins Creed, Soul Reaver all mixed in one pot.
It does look cool, except the main character's voice sounds a little meh
This looks interesting, mixture of AC+Splinter Cell+Witcher+Arkham series, which is not a bad thing.
P.S the narrator has an awesome voice!!
@ps3gamer1234 I hope that's a good thing. FEAR 1 is a classic, and FEAR 2 is a classic dissapointment.
