Naked Snake is more honorable than Solid Snake. Solid Snake is always used as a pawn for the patriots(though he tries to do good in MGS2 and gets tricked into destroying the sytem in mgs4). While Naked Snake found out he was working for criminal scum and tried to be independent of government criminals and fought for freedom of the Patriot System..
So, the guy in the beginning who says "what about him?" Is that MacDonald Miller? And the "Him" he refers to? Possibly Frank Jaeger or a young Solid Snake? Could be events slightly before the original Metal Gear...
Anyone else get the feeling we only play as Snake for Ground Zeroes then we're playing as someone else for MGS5?
Big Boss is coming back hahaha the funny thing is than now he has more games than solid snake, i hope we can see young versions of familiar faces like liquid, snake, gray fox even the child that appear in the video he look like a young psycho mantis....
BTW nice music for the video like always Kojima select the perfect tone for his videos
For a game that's coming out late 2013/early 2014, I'm surprised that it isn't available for the PS4 or the Xbox 720
By the way, the only thing I don't like is that the Metal Gear timeline isn't fitting in very well with this game...Well, unless Big Boss builds his next base in South Africa then maybe. Maybe. Still, never heard of the Diamond Dogs and it would kind of make more sense to include the bosses from the first Metal Gear on MSX given the time period.
I dunno, just saying.
I really hope there is a PC release. I have played every Metal Gear game, and I didn't buy a PS3 until launch day for MGS4. But, at this point, I really would like to play MGSV on my PC. I have the original on my NES, MGS on ps1 and PC, 2 and 3 on PS2, MGS Twin Snakes on my Gamecube, MGS4 on my PS3, and the HD collection on my PS3 for Peace Walker. And for now, this game is planned to only be released on 360 and PS3. In 08 that was fine...not in 2013.
And finally Kojima already states that the demo is running on a PC since that is obviously what games are developed on...how hard can it be to just release it via steam so I can run the game so it actually looks like the trailer?? It's just so far ahead of current and next gen consoles. I don't want some watered down low res version on my ps3 with 512mb of ram and a video card from 2006...
when Kojima tell hes going to reinvent the series i hope hes talking about taking a more realistic aproach on the cutscenes no more over the top like Snake jumping over a rocket in a backflip or Raiden breaking the laws of physics.
V has come to. Does this hint at the character that we will ultimately control in the game is, perhaps, the fifth clone of Big Boss, or something? This calls to mind the character "V" from "V for Vendetta." V was the titular character from room 5 (V). I would hope Kojima wouldn't rip off something so obviously, but it could work. Regardless, the game play and visuals look beyond anything I've seen to date. Whips the pants off of the style and quality even in Crysis 3 or Far Cry 3.
I CAN'T WAIT! I CAN'T WAIT! I CAN'T WAIT! I CAN'T WAIT! I CAN'T WAIT! I CAN'T WAIT! I CAN'T WAIT!
I have always felt ashamed for only playing MGS 4, but I was too young when the other games came out. I'm gonna pick all of those up and play them before this and Ground Zeroes comes out.
I've noticed something crazy.At the end of the trailer, the message "V has come to" comes up. Now if you play this backward, it kind of sounds like "where's fox? not here". Is this a coincidence?? I'm not 100% sure, but I'm almost positive the message "V has come to" is a hint.
You know, you have to appreciate a trailer done with in-game graphics. I'm starting to think those are the ones worth looking into now adays..
@Biggs613 In an interview Kojima said the guy Miller was referring to was Kojima himself, it was suppose to be symbolic of Kojima as the man behind the camera.
@Biggs613 this takes place way before MEtal gear. Solid Snake was still a young boy during MGS5.
@jalexanders123 The return of Ivan Raidenovitch Raikov!
@jalexanders123 Totally agree mate
@VELZER Of course, Big Boss has become more legendary than Solid Snake and his past is very intriguing and at the end of the day, he is the original Snake
@xf357 i bet it will be
haha you will just have to free roam a lot If you want more gameplay
@THE_DRUGGIE Also Big Boss relationship with Gray Fox, I mean he is like a son to him in Metal Gear games but they havent fight side by side yet
@Chupacabra3332 have mgs ever been on pc?
@lhsjazzman It can't be a 5th clone because this takes place in the 70s when the clones were just created . We will be playing as Big Boss most probably
@HomieHesAKlown obvious troll is obvious
@CBN16 The Legacy collection is supposed to come out early July! http://www.amazon.com/Metal-Gear-Solid-Collection-Playstation-3/dp/B00CTKHXFO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370911359&sr=8-1&keywords=metal+gear+solid+legacy
@CBN16 The remastered HD versions that came out are a really good way to catch up :-D and you can download the first MGS on the PS store
@TheHaughtyMoose damn your right, that is revolver aint it? The guy on the horse, been wondering
@LeonsKnnedy @VELZER Yes your right, but i dont know why even that Big Boss is more interesting i like more Solid Snake, maybe is the fact he always was like the one with free will but always manipulated but others, but everyone has his favorite character thats what i like of this game the amount of characters it offers, but yes big boss is the major snake, even snake always see him like a parent figure even he dosent know the true.
The Ironic is that mi favoreite MGS is the MGS3 protagonist by BIg boss, my favorite character is The Boss . But is ok i liked the MGS4 ending and how everything end it even for snake speacially the final scene with big boss that almost make me cry hahaha, Big Boss we salute you
