Predictions: Metal Gear Solid V will be an amazing game.
Gamespot will review and give an 8.5 out of 10 by having some reviewer who isn't really into the Metal Gear Solid series review it.
The fans will rebel.
A new episode of Feedbackula will be made.
Kojima knows what he is doing so I think that this is going to be another great metal gear solid Game. ^^
Who cares???? MGS saga has going to hell since Kojima forgot the meaning of good games: fun instead of shitty profits and lame attempts to obtain it with characters like QUIET
Saying there's going to be less cutscenes than MGS4 isn't saying a whole lot. I'll probably still spend most of the game having to press the PS button after my controller's turned itself off. :-P It's kind of a shame though because the story they managed to tell in 4 was A. MAY. ZING!!!!
I can´t wait to play this and see the all transformation of big boss into a "demon" and the destruction of mother base, and how this game will explain a lot of incongruent stuff that, to some people, emerged from MGS: PW like why mother base (outer heaven) was on south america and not in south africa and stuff like that, i hope we can be able to see another characters maybe we can see the first encounter of big boss and frank jaeger
This reminds me of MGS2: Sons of Liberty which has two story arcs, the Tanker mission (as Snake) and Plant mission (as Raiden). I agree. I believe MGS5 is both Ground Zeroes (as Naked Snake - with his left arm intact) and Phantom Pain (as Fallen Snake - left arm replaced with a prosthetic arm like Galvez' hand). With regards to the gameplay however it's difficult to say. I do hope it takes in the best of each of the series (the grit and cleverness of MGS1, MGS2 as mentioned, the camouflage system of MGS3, the epic-ness of MGS4, and strategy/motherbase system of Peace Walker and Portable Ops 1&2) and patch 'em up together to make one "Solid" open world game. *pun intended* I give you my support Kojima-san.
Sooo basicly your saying is that ground zero and phantom pain, are all one game which is mgs5 and that they are missions within that game.
w8 a minute i remember on the first annooucment thing from kojima he told us that ground zeroes was the first mission of mgs V
People sure had some negative input about the game when they both heard about it from the people that played the demo, and from those that had played it, I for one don't share the pessimism. It looks fantastic; unoriginal, and awkward aspects included, they seemed minor to me as of right now.
@3:40 they say what will be different about MGO western development is leveling up and upgrades. Duh Metal Gear Online on MGS4 is fully of leveling up and gaming upgrade skills. These people never played MGO a day of their life. If they make it Like Call Of Duty, it's going to suck. I miss MGS4 online.
for those who played MGS2 Ground Zero=Tanker level, Phantom Pain = Big Shell.
for those who played MGS3 Ground Zero = Virtuous mission, Phantom Pain = Operation Snake Eater.
i just wish that konami provides ground zeroes free of charge and if people like the action and the changes they can purchase the full game... :)
or just as gt 5 prologue, it could be a half ooor quarter price of a full game, which would make more sense economically for konami...
i'd prefer the first option though... :)
00:41 when they showed that footage of kojima, all i was thinking was "get your tits out, get your tits out, get your tits out for the lads"
Xenogears has a save point in the middle of a wall of text (or cutscene).
I gotta agree that MGS:V is very vague right now. I'm looking forward to how Mother Base plays in this whole thing, and how the game integrates with mobile devices. It'd be awesome if you can send out your guys to do missions like Peacewalker through your mobile.
What I really want to know is: If they released the online component today and I began downloading it tonight (like *right this second*), would the installation process be finished in time for launch day?
wait... they haven't shown the next gen version of the game yet??? wtf have they been showing then???
What the use of ask gamespot anyway ?
Most of the time their answer are answer everyone know already or can easily find anywhere in the internet...
I think it will be like MGS2, when you had the tanker part and then the plant part. It'll be the same.
@CaptainKrunch10 They say in the video that this time around it will be much more about the game play. Did you even watch the video?
@Freboy I don't think I actually ever made use of it. I didn't realise it at the time, but I guess I subconsciously agreed with everyone who was against it.
@Halloll Pretty much my first thought as to how to explain it quick & easy :)
@MondasM not buying this should not be an option.
@sherv490 LMAO! Yep. His reputation is a little shaky now.
@arqeno "jensen" middle name?
@HexOmega95 Current gen.
@garl Next year for sure. Probably late as well. If we're lucky, in the summer like MGS4.
@packtop It's good for people that don't follow games or the site as frequently. It's basically for convenience. I watch them anyway even if I already know most of it, to see if I missed something and also to get their opinions rather than solid facts.
@packtop ...or they don't know the answer
@snake8877 You could have googled it.
@ANUBISZER0 it's a gear made out of nanomachines.
