It was OK but just OK. Could use some new content now that im done the game but still a few levels short of 30!
gay DLC, quite disappointing for the price and the new squad member is lame, dont waste ur money patrons. go see a movie instead, itd be more enjoyable and probably longer
I want it... but I think I might wait until they decide to bring out all their DLCs on disc. At least I hope they do.
Kind of boring DLC. On my comp the extras and patches are free. X box needs to get their hand out of my wallet and foot out of my butt.
There's a cool surprise in store for DA:O players in this DLC :-) And Kasumi has a very cool main ability (stealth strike) and her unlockable ability (that Shepard can also get) is quite useful too, good for non-biotics to get some crowd control. It might only be one mission, but it's beautifully crafted, well written and voice acted and is very polished. Kasumi is an interesting character and a nice addition to the crew.
I was amazed at how linear this game had become. ME2 was basically a big recruitment game for a final mission that didnt explain anything. I felt very disappointed with the length of the game and the story/character interaction. Everything about the game was a downgrade from ME1 except for the graphics, planet exploration and shooting. This DLC is a complete rip-off. I was a ME fanboy after the original too but ME2 wasn't a sci-fi RPG it was a semi-linear action game.
I'm actually missing playing ME2 already. But I've made a deal with myself to wait and horde the DLC expansions for it, rather than play straight through as and when they are released. Knowing Bioware's trend to provide relatively short expansions (DA Awakenings not included), I like the idea of having a "few" new expansions to bolt-onto the main game and giving myself a longer run of playing in one go
SIGH i just bought that DLC for 5 USDs and all it is another charter but you can't have sex with her :'(
There just pumping out the DLC left and right, great marketing technique to get people to buy the game, and to keep people who already have it interested. Bioware = Amazing!!
Im gonna buy this because i love me2 and would some more missions. Not sure if its worth the price i dont mind supporting BioWare. The more funds they have the better games they can make. I hope.
this was the biggest rip off dlc, almost 1/5 the cost of the game it self for one 30 minute mission, could of been even shorter if I hadnt had to learn to play ME2 again
folks... its...a.... NEW CHARACTER!!! Nothing more, its not supposed to be a add-on to the story, just a SUB QUEST, surprisingly majority of sub quests are short.... *shocked look* Quit your complaining or don't buy it the add-ons..
wut did u expect this was like ne other character side mission just to get there loyalty. but of course there is also the fact that we had to pay for it i kno lame
I played it last night....very short 90 minutes tops. If the price is any issue I would say pass on it so you don't complain about its brevity. Because other than its shortness it is a nice addition to ME. She has a great cloaking attack that will be an asset in future missions. And you get some new weapon tech.
Whats with the hood lol I like to see my characters thank you. Dont see why theres so much hate on ME2 on here it was a great game. However all the downloadable content in games is bugging me as it all seems so pointless and to short. Even big expansions like dragonage origins awakening let me down as its always missing stuff and lacks the depth a true game has.
So for those who finished the main storyline, the game will be like the series "Chuck" or something?
@covertchris I agree, I really miss the elements that made it a slight rpg, especially the inventory, so what if there was 8000 guns and it was complicated, when you think about it, it really wasnt, all you had to do was scroll, all that needed to be altered was the interface or maybe a better screen. There was almost no guns in ME2.... I really hope Bioware turns some things around cuz if they dont they will be turning against some of their hardcore ME fans. I enjoy the story but frankly ME2 storyline pooped on all that ME set up, I really hope Bioware knows what its doing.
@starscreamPL I agree with most of the stuff you say. I don't call this game an RPG, I call it a 3rd person shooter. This DLC looks like the same thing I was doing in the game, just with a new person that I have to bring along. I miss the Mako too. I also miss having an inventory. What RPG doesn't have an inventory???
the bad thing about mass effect 2 is that almost all the missions are about recruting someone new, less characters and a story that involves more the present characters and villans would have been better, and that the mako exploration of mass effect one was boring that never ever ment that they should thake the mako away it would have been nice to see more veicles like a bike and something that flies and alos the mako because in mission it was real fun (and I also would have put some turrets like in any shooter) that you can use but just beeing part of missions not to explore odd planets.
Role-playing video game features (taken from Wikipedia) in Mass Effect 2: 1.Story-telling and narrative elements: Excellent (but story itself is not so great) 2.Player character development: Bad 3.Complexity: Average (almost awful) 4. Replayability: Awful (for me near to none, second playtrough was a pain) 5. Solving puzzles: Joke 6. Inventory: Hmm are you kidding me 7 Combat mechanics: it is shooter... 8. Quests: rather Good (but there are Awful moments here like finding credit card for some jerk in Citadel, what a stupid and primitive quest, thare are many that type of quests in this game ) So I think Mass Effect 2 is not the best rpg ever made, I don`t really know if this game may be called true rpg game in fact. Too much simplicity, too low depth here.
