I'm curious about an actual gameplay trailer. Sneak peak the map sizes and layouts, UI, stuff like that.
Switching to a different class at any time looks like a good idea. Bioware is sure to pack a punch with this one.
It's always great to see the voices behind the Story. I played the first 2 Stories and I'm so looking forward to playing ME3..I never saw the voice behind the female Shepard...This release is going to be awesome!
Play as something besides a human? that sounds awesome! I hope you can redo the missions a few times
Seems like a good addition to an already great game, enabling you to play different classes and kinds of gameplay without commiting for an entire gamethrough.
Midnight Release... I must redeem myself for standing in the cold for MW3. March hurry and get here =...[
my only request is that they add a undercover infiltration mission as Legion in a Geth hive mind or a mission controlling or inside a thresher maw, but these might be a little cliche. oh and who wants to see Tali's face? not naked body, please, we dont need Fox News making a big deal about it again
i don't understand what everyone is so worried about. there have been some games that have been hindered due to a multiplayer-added sequel, but this is BioWare we are talking about. they may not have had an array of games that feature multiplayer, but i would trust BioWare to make the right decisions when it comes to a game that they love and know the fans love. when it came to ME2, they listened to complaints about ME1 and fixed those mistakes. the only gripes i had with ME2 were the planet mining aspect and for some reason, i didnt feel every character was utilized to their full potential in their stories and in combat, like Zaeed or Jacob. I would like more surprises like playing as Joker in ME2 or different choices besides paragon and renegade that make me want to play the story over and over with everything different. the QTEs with choice incentive was a good touch. I believe BioWare will listen closely to everything we have to say about multiplayer and how to make it work. i have no doubt in my mind that the singleplayer will be as epic if not more than its predecessors.
@Daian Lol, that comment makes me laugh so hard. I've been following Mass Effect 3 since the day it was announced, read every single article/news/interviews/preview, watched every single video, so I know what I'm talking about.Yes, I know the multiplayer will effect the gameplay, but maybe you conveniently forgot to read the part where I wrote that players' single player experience will be just as awesome if they don't touch the multiplayer at all.
@deBASer56 Dude we are talking about RPGs here... So don't come with sh*t like FPS... Yeah Mass Effect is shooter too but it's totally BS to start a beta for a RPG because you purchased a FPS... And "thanks" but I everyone here knows what DICE and Bioware are and under whom control are.... And why start a beta for those who bought BF3....why not for those who will buy Kingdoms Of Amalur since it's a RPG and it's more suitable considering they have cross-over items... Do you even contemplate the fact how stup*d sounds to talk about a generic shooter in a RPG discussion thread that's will also have some way of multiplayer maybe 10 times better then the one from the generic shooter? Talking of noob gamers...next time look in the mirror...anything that you'll say to combat my statement will just harden it...
Looks ace not only are we gonna get the final installment of the game, we get a cool multiplayer with some sick abilities. :)
@khoofia_pika Actually they're not 2 different entities since the multiplayer will affect the singleplayer, it will improve the "galactic readiness" or something like that which in translation means those that play the multiplayer missions have an easier job ending the game with success. So get better informed before you start complaining about others complaining.
@jmace1 BioWare Vancouver is a pretty big development team, so I think they can manage dividing their resources a little but. And they're only been working on the multiplayer since September. Before that, it was all single player, for a year.
I really hope this doesn't take away from the single player. It's okay for games to not have multiplayer...
@khoofia_pika Of course BioWare will say that. Do you think any company in their right mind would say something along the lines of, "Since we're adding multiplayer into ME3, we've had to cut some resources that would've otherwise gone to the single player campaign." It just logically makes sense that if you're going to make a multiplayer portion to a previously single player only game that the companies focus and resources have been shifted to a certain degree. With that being said, I'm very excited for ME3 and I can't wait for March.
If done right, this could be a very good thing. As the final chapter of the series, I think it's a good thing to connect the community is a subtle but not overdone kind way such as this. Dark Souls did this in a different way and it was great. Can't wait to see ME3's take on it.
To all those who're saying the MP will ruin the game- are you freaking dumb or something? BioWare has said a million times that it won't affect the single player at all, and that they're two completely different entities. You don't link the inclusion of the multiplayer mode? Don't play it! It won't effect your playthrough at all. But stop b!tching about it. Let the others who're not as narrow minded as you are have fun with it.
hahaaa amazing i cant wait to be a krogan the asari look great to love that dodge. i laugh at the ppl crying because this has multiplayer lighten up im sure they have put all there effort into creating a single player experiance that will be just as great as the other 2 games. and multiplayer is optional and i think its only co-op not player vs player. the combat in this trailer was great how any of you can whine about it is silly tho we are all intitled to are opinions no hate hear just love cant wait for the demo and is a midnight purchase from tesco for me on release lmao.
Devils-DIVISION Multiplayer always hinders solo. That's just something they tell you to keep you happy. Skills have to be adjusted, classes have to be balanced out, it takes a lot of time, and it affects all skills and items in the game. Unless the skills in MP have nothing to do with those you have in solo which is probably no the case, they will be affected. It makes for a less fun experience because there is nothing crazy left, it's all squared out. Even if they managed to keep everything separate between MP and SP, from the skills to the items, all games still have a budget and a timeline they follow. The publisher/devs don't just add 6 extra month and a few more millions for the multiplayer to please us. They usually take it out from somewhere else that would be dedicated to solo. Anyway, I'm not sure about MP yet but I am not totally against it, I like playing co-op with my friends and brothers. But I am not blind either, I know, that no matter how good it will be, the SP would have been better and/or lenghtier without the MP.
Fantastic trailer though! The Asari husk-like creatures look awesome. And I hope [if ME3 is the last of the saga] it gets revived in a similar universe but with a different/alternate reality. This is probably - can I say with humility - the best universe ever created! Better than Star Wars; WoW; Battlestar, etc. I like the others, but the complexity & intrigue developed in the Mass Effect universe has me hooked!
The fact that this multiplayer is optional, and doesn't hinder or intrude upon your single player experience (which I rather) is great! But since there is a multiplayer, I will definitely be playing it! It will add endless hours of gameplay. I have completed ME2 something like 7 or 8 times! Though I did delete my file by accident once.
this thing looks like it contains some story elements... I might actually play it if it's fun. the SP campaign will be my focus though... I have 4 characters that I need to roleplay, so... I hope that will match my expectations
Mass Effect 2 was the best game ever released and my personal favorite;i'm expecting an equally awesome game,if not better;I don't mind the multiplayer as long as the singleplayer doesn't get downgraded BUT if that happens(and it usually does) then FU Bioware and i'm not buying any more sh1t from you either!!!
I couldnt care less about Multiplayer. Story and characters are what makes this such an awesome game..not the shooting..
@Darnasian Well BioWare being a division of EA and DICE being owned by EA they have something to do with eachother. And by the way if you have purchased BF3 you have access to ME3 beta that was supposed to start early January. You are the one who sounds like a noob gamer to me.
@joe1113 Since when has Bioware anything to do with DICE and those FPS franchises? You sound like a noob gamer to me!
adding multiplayer to a game adds value to it, plus replayability... looks like ME3 multiplayer will be co-op, hope that there will be other modes to choose from :D
