I like the DLC for ME2. I wish more games had various DLC's. Theres nothing worse than buying a "new" game with the promise of DLC to come and it never does. At least with ME2, they've gave us plenty of reason to play through again.
Right and ME2 is not boring with its very basic linear gameplay, nonsensical story, and weak character development...oh look there is a waist high wall that has been placed in a hallway for no apparent reason. Let me guess I'm going to have to shoot for 30 seconds before I trigger the next cut scene. Woohoo, now that is fun innovative gameplay. After playing ME2 once there was no point playing it again because the story is so boring. At least with RDR the gameplay is so fun that it is easy to keep playing free roam. ME2 gameplay is truely repetitive. The same hallways, the same waist high cover, the same crap to shot, the same linear environments, oh wait yet another cut-scene to break up the continuity of gameplay. Anyone who tries to argue that ME2 gameplay is innovative or fun is either a noob or high. The story is a real "saga" when they dismissed the entire plot of the first game in a few lines by saying the council blamed the Geth for the attacks on the Citadel. None of the choices you made in ME had any impact in ME2, its a totally different story. And choice, if I really had "choice" my very first option would of been to either work with TIM or shoot him in the head and go back to the alliance and round up my squad from ME. Nope, this game's status is a result of millions of dollars of marketing by EA, not the game itself, which is a dumbed down shooter. Heck even shooters are better than this. If you want a decent CGI movie go get FF: Spirits Within, if you want a game that has a actual story with some resemblence of continuity then play God of War 1,2 and 3. This has to be one of the most over-rated, over-hyped, over-priced games in this generation.
have to agree with ironmonk36 , RDR was boring untill the end which is the only part of the game i can remember. i dont think i can play it through it 2nd time
RDR was a good game I won't deny that, but it was extremely repetitive. I had to force myself to keep playing it. I didn't find the story in RDR at all interesting untill the last 10 minutes. Playing through all those boring & repetitive missions felt like a chore. Even though it was good I would never play it again. It was too repetitive the first time I never want to play a second time.
@Albaficas: Please. ME2 is a dumbed down version of ME, and that is a gross understatement. I would not even categorize ME2 as a game, as the cut-scenes are longer than the actual gameplay! LMAO at your attempt to try and pass off ME2's "story" as a saga. Lets be honest, there is no real continuity of "story" between ME and ME2, so much for the 'saga'. RDR sold better because it is a GAME. It is not one long boring cut-scene with very very basic linear gameplay thrown in as an after thought. I, and my freinds, are all mature gamers (25-40+) and we all still play RDR today! Not one us have even bothered to play ME2 after the first play thourgh. So RDR beats ME2 for value for money hands down. Again, RDR beats ME2 for gameplay, voice acting, characters depth, audio, graphics and story. As a dedicated gamer for close to twenty years I would like to think that I have some understanding of what makes a good game. ME2, in my opinion, is the worst possible direction the gaming industry could take. Put simply, if I want a movie I'll go see a movie. If I want to play VIDEO GAMES I'll play RDR.
@Albaficas Nothing shows off your level of maturity more then text speak. Because typing Y-O-U is too hard? How exactly is RDR game just for kids?
@ Now you're just talking bull...t, ME2 is a great game, but saying RDR is a game strictly for kids is just plain stupid.
I will miss having my team along, still different can be good. ME2 DLC has been wonderful. I am hoping any DLC Bioware does for DA:2 is more like this than the (far) less than stellar DA:O DLC.
"organbank" Red is a game strictly for kids and guess what...70% of the population are -16 year old so what are they gonna choose u think? a game that requires a little brain or a robery game? thought so....in terms of gameplay-acting-characters depth-audio-graphics and OFC story mass effect saga simply crush RED DEAD with eaze..red dead sell better only because kids prefer these kind of game while mass effect is more mature oriented but i guess u most be one of those new gen stupid kids that simply dont have a single clue what gaming is about.so plz before u post something THINK first THEN post nuff said kkthxbb
@ironmonk36: pfft get some perspective buddy. Red Dead Redemption is the greatest game for next gen consoles. ME2 is one long boring cut-scene that is trying to be passed off as a game.
Last DLC..does that mean it's time for an Ultimate pack or ME2:GOTY? Really hope so..hate downloading all the DLC's on their own...
@rpgnutt come on man, if BioWare sticks to their trend, then chances are there's be some kind of extra content unlocked in ME3 if you complete this one. Added or alternate storyline, extra missions, maybe even an extra NPC in the squad. It's a stepping stone for something bigger down the road. Besides, it's the story that kicks arse, who cares how long it goes for? I'm Commander Shepard, and I'm about to destroy a mass relay...with a planet!
Yes! Im so excited to play an hour or so of gameplay and especially with it being the final dlc! Thanks Bioware...I love being teased to death.
Bioware need to put their hands on the LA Noire face capture tech. That would be so freaking amazing.Once they do that we will have the game of forever.
