I'll defenitely go buy this game. Even though the franchise has remained pretty much the same, I still enjoy playing it from time to time :) As they say: Never change a winning team :D Driving upside down and sideways will only add to the craziness that is Mario Kart.
I LOVE Mario Kart games. I've never missed a console version. But I just don't know where I'd even put a Wii U right now.
I'm sick of the "woo-hoo" and "yippee!" not to mention the constant rehash of the same, typical Nintendo franchises. Not bashing......just saying I'm done with Mario Kart 45, Super Mario 250, Zelda: Link's 900th quest, etc. But if you still like these franchises, they look pretty good visually.
It looked visually stunning, but I havta kinda agree with daveg1 (two peeps down ) I could stand the wii version and I almost didnt like the n64 version when i went back to play it with my son. nothing beats the super nintendo version and this is just over saturation of a classic. I keep watch though and see
i still remember playing 4 player battle on n64 (the map was lava doughnut) those were epic day.. nobody does local co-op better than nintendo..
I really like what I am seeing here... all of the great features from 7 + bikes + anti-gravity sections!
wow... I can't believe there's a reason to get me-self a WiiU...... ⎛ಠ︵ಠ⎞ NINTENDO: SEGA-FY yourself, and become a multiplatform publisher already!!!!!!
This is gonna be great fun again with the wife and kids, just hope I dont get trashed again like always :p NOW BRING IT ON ALREADY.
Why are some people saying This game looks no better than the wii version? Did you watch the video? It looks like mario kart GP in arcades if not better. so if I've been playing a wii in the arcade I'm impressed!!!!
Looks like the same game from the Wii... The graphics aren't that impressive either, the Wii U looks far behind even the Xbox 360 and PS3
@HardStomp in the garbage
@Britishtwister I still love the n64 version. My fav.
Nevermind, it's a racing game so I shouldn't even have hoped for anything different(sure the anti-gravity thing was, but I am sure the gameplay is the same).
@Eyefrein They are too busy hating on Xbox One
@SoNin360 Dont go check the new Super Smash bros trailer
@SoNin360 well u had t know this'd be coming eventually
@Ahiru-San I feel exactly the same way. Unfortunately, it hasn't really worked out so well for Sega... but I think Nintendo could make it work, as they've always put quality first.
@SurlyPotato you must go to the oftalmologist. In no way this looks lik the Wii version. Fail troll atempting
@SurlyPotato Because people buy Nintendo consoles and games for their impressive graphics...
@SurlyPotato that's totally false,e.g. the first games on 360 like Madden looks pretty bad, at least Nintendo is showing great HD graphics since the beginning
@naji2014 "When I became a man, I put away childish things. Including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." C.S. Lewis So how about you grow up and realize that people have different interests and truly being "grown up" means doing what you enjoy despite its connotations.
@naji2014 There will still always be more kids. Do you want Nintendo to make shooters? Kids shouldn't be playing shooters, and Nintendo is a family-based company. If you don't like it, nobody's forcing you to buy it.
either way the new Mario Kart still looks good to me, it's actually feels kind of funny seeing them look this way after what the Wii looked like.
@Nintendo_ltd @SurlyPotato Condemned was a launch title (which I proudly got at launch day) and had amazing graphics for the time back then... and even years later, comparing to latter releases, it IS still good graphics... of course there were lame ones (Amped 3 for instance, but one heck of a game), but still the 360 showed off great graphics from the get-go...
once Nintendo fooled us saying the N64 wasn't showing off its full capability (blurred textures my arse)... and so an expansion pack was released with 8mb of video RAM just to add some... more blurred textures...
