Making of Beyond: Two Souls - The Origins
Go behind the scenes with Beyond: Two Souls and see the cast and crew explain the ideas which inspired writer/director David Cage to create the story of Jodie Holmes.
Give this review to anyone BUT Tom cause he's just going to sink it to 7.5 or 8 at best given his previous score to Last of Us an 8. This idiot should be left with the kind of genre he likes best aside from adventure games.
I'm definitely keeping my PS3! The first time I've held on to a console. It was easier to let go of them, when there was backwards compatibility.
Wow, PS3 is going out with a bang. Some great games coming out.
Mad respect for these people, you can feel the passion in their voices.
This is exactly what games need.
Page is getting too much media with this game, i dont give a shit !!! they can put Yoshi on her place taht wont make a difference.
i really really can´t wait to play this game one of the latest contributions to the PS3 and a great one, looking more and more interesting every time, ahhhhhh!!! (anxiety scream)
Now that I think about it, violence is the main theme is so many games. I can think of sprots/racing/sim video games and card/board video games and some half assed mobile/facebook games. Its nice to see someone making an effort to do something different.
Oh hey great job by the way, COD and madden nfl for the constant shovelware. Now you money grubbing bastards have contaminated halo and gears of war into the shovelware model.
Whatever you want to call this, a game or film, it does look good, but to me, more importantly, it's something that famous Hollywood actors are happy about contributing in, and for that, I hope the game's a success. Furthermore, I think for many, this could potentially be very close to home, certainly for game critics with recent deaths like Ryan Davis and even Roger Ebert.
William Dafoe is a personal favorite actor of mine and to have him in a video game is pretty awesome I'm really looking forward to this game!!
Yes...but is the GAME gonna be any good to actually PLAY...?
From what I've read in some early previews...maybe not.
Not VIDEO or MOVIE.
I know my opinion might not be a popular one, but I'm quite concerned with Hollywood celebs being tapped into video games. It usually means additional costs to pay these celebs' significantly high "talent fees." Money that game companies could be spending to increase the salaries of their hard-working staff, programmers, testers, and so forth.
A video game can do well & even present an effective storytelling aspect even without high profile Hollywood celebs in it.
I'm also turned off at some celebs' arrogance that whenever they see a video game character that bears some resemblance to their appearance, that they are being "ripped off."
Willem Dafoe, Kelsey Grammer, Keith David, James Earl Jones, and Morgan Freeman need to start some kind of Awesome Sexy Cool Voices Club.
This passion put into this game seen through this video. Made me a believer wasnt a huge fan of E3 preview.
That Awkward moment when an advertisement of Xbox appears right before a video about a Playstation exclusive.
@javalino That'd be awesome lol
Its on the down low man don't tell people! XD
No, I don't think so xD
@amaneuvering Yes it looks amazing to play. It got great reviews at E3
@toyo75 i agree with you on the budget part of your comment. i see this turning into tomb raider all over again. if they dont sell x amount of copies then the game will be considered a flop by the developer cuz they didnt make back more then they spent on making it.
do you really need millions of dollars to tell a story? i know a lot of ppl would say yes, but if it could potentially hurt you then why do it?
@Icame2play I say keep an eye on it, these behind the scenes looks at movies (and now games) are always there to try and make the viewer feel more passionate about the movie/game but also puff it up, while coyly promoting it. But it does look pretty interesting, and the opening line persuaded me, the fact that he was influenced by a loss of someone close to him.
@slayerSS-3 Compare all of the critic and gamer scores to the like on your comments, and you'll see the fact. I don't think David Cage's games is meant to be enjoyable for immature gamers though. No offense.
@slayerSS-3 You bumped your head. Heavy Rain was amazing! I a true who done it. I did not know until the very end,
Heavy Rain great graphics awful story [very average gameplay too]... hope this one is better
@shalashaska88 When you draw her face on your pillow do you also write the name? Or does that break the immersion?
@videogamer008 Hmmmm. You shouldn't hurl inane comments. I was exclaiming, in dispair!, my annoyance at seeing a title that I would love to play through, as an exclusive on a console I do not own. I then pondered the idea of buying such a console for the sake of playing such exclusives like this.
Have a super weekend too!
Consider: If we strive to be better every time, our quality bar will rise. Pushing that bar means hiring the best. If we don't try to be better every time and if we choose to be content with what we have, I think we'll develop a serious case of cultural stagnation.
On a side note, hiring Hollywood actors, helps promote video games to people that are not really into video games to begin with. And I think that is developing our culture as well.
@jark888yeaaaah right because the story is very deep...
Not all the reviewers give the game a good score because of the story just read destructoid for example...
The story is a mess specially the ending, just because it have a lot of plot twist and it is touchy doesn't mean it's good.
What does anything to do with enjoying immature games?and exactly what is an "immature gamer" what games does an immature gamer likes?
@Psychokillaz JAASON, JAAAAAASON, JASOOOOON!
Yeah really good story, not!
