Making of Beyond: Two Souls - The Gameplay
Go behind the scenes with Beyond: Two Souls and see the cast and crew explain what went into redesigning the core gameplay in Beyond and evolving it from their previous title Heavy Rain.

As much as I would like to believe that this is going to be a great game, I can't help but feel that it's going to be another Heavy Rain, and I just don't feel up to cooking more eggs and bacon and changing diapers.
Looking forward to this. I gave Heavy Rain a try because I wanted to play something that was different to the games I usually play. When I finished it I was just left wondering how I managed to miss it back in 2010.
Maybe as good as Last of Us but tell Tom Mcshea to stay away cause he is now officially public enemy in the gaming industry. Suffice to say he would put away many innocent people behind bars if he was to serve jury duty, that idiot
Those guys saying "QTE" "MOVIE!!!" are just Xbox fans who are just jealous, stop trying, you ain't getting this game, buy a PS3 and shut it.
Thank god i own both consoles.
It's not a movie just because you don't shoot stuff all the time. If it has multiple choices and endings, it's an interactive experience. Like fahrenheit(indigo prophecy in the US), heavy rain and the walking dead-one of the best games of 2012. Interactive games are pretty awesome when done well.
If you don't like that, back to COD. Not all people are mature enough (gaming-wise) to enjoy all aspects of gaming.
Just great experience you can hardly find elsewhere. I personally don't recommend David Cage's games to people who are not mentally grown though. In other words, without ability to appreciate fine art, you may not enjoy his games.
I thought about not posting my opinion, but just couldn't stand those bitching immature comments. Put in short, David Cage's games just show how lame are so many games out there in the market. I can feel hearts and souls people put into making game while playing Heavy Rain.
The Walking Dead series is similar game style with less opposition(probably because some don't like how David Cage's communicated his vision on gaming industry).
when you play a game that has a natural flow to it , you just know it , it's inside everyone , it does not have to be complex you go as you were actually meant to be you feel good about it and that makes for a good game , I think we will all get that feeling with this one ...
I remember a quote from David Cage a while back where he said he didn't want people to see too much before they played the game. Still, the temptation to watrch videos like this is too much.
I think that's why there's not a whole lot of gameplay in the video though. It's a making-of-the-gameplay video, not a gameplay trailer.
As for people who say this isn't a real game or it shouldn't get made... um just don't play it. I enjoyed the Indigo Propesy & I enjoyed Heavy Rain. I would like to enjoy more productions from David Cage (whether you want to call it a game or whatever other label you see fit). Just because you don't like variety or people pushing the boundaries it doesn't mean others' enjoyment is less legitimate, now go back to COD & shut up.
this game looks amazing - so excited. However, not sure about the importance of making a game almost easier to play. does "interactive experience" mean quick time events?
ps3 is going out with a bang.
Like it says in the video, i quote "Quantum dream has always about creating interactive experiences that it have emotions at their core, it´s about telling the story of characters and giving the player the possibility through their actions to change the way of story unfolds" that´s a CINEMATIC GAME or at least their definition of it, so the most inportant thing to quantum dream is the story telling and that the player delve into the story even they use sonly QTE moments to reach taht, because some games reach this same goal with other ways of gameplay like last of us, don´t get me wrong i´m really lokking forward for this and i can´t way to play it but maybe they can use less QTE and be able to still be an interactive game
@GrayF0X786 Let me guess. 7.5 at max? or even below 7.
@GrayF0X786 indeed lol
@max-hit Still better than Ryse.
@fireemblemgamer i dont think there is even such thing as a hard game anymore beside dark souls
@biggnol908 That's clever, very clever.
@chieflion You must have been watching a different video than me. The dev said she can ride a horse, not that it's a central mechanic. It's a linear story. They've never said otherwise.
@Boogy32 it's been in development for years as a ps3 title
@Boogy32 the last of us... go and play it.
@acelogan1989 Yeah cutscene-play makes more sense.
@zintarr Made by Quantic Dream = not crap.
That was easy to amaze you wasnt it?
@VELZER to the moon is also an interactive story. but that game doesn't need any qte's to be emotional.
@bankai_456 Even with that perspective there are a lot of better movies and TV shows to watch and enjoy.
@bankai_456 It's pretty much the same thing. ;)
@theend3r hmm... All games with overused QTEs are equally worthless. But there is still time for Crytek to get rid of QTEs in Ryse.
@max-hitYou've posted so many comments and replies. If you don't like the game, why stay here and read comments? I'm not saying I like the look of the game, just that you seem a little involved.
@kazzu Thanks but I really don't need your opinion about where and when I post comments.
