Shame they can't put in the feature you'd think would broaden the appeal of the game, ie: Deck Editing (Full), Leagues (which still isn't back in MTGO). This is a great game (Magic), but they really put lackluster efforts into delivering it online.
It was really cool seeing the Planeswalkers and the other cards (Platinum Angel is the only one I recognized) come to life and move around.
There is no custom deck building in this game. The only changes revealed so far are better camera angles so cards fit better on the screen (less wasted space), new decks and a new 3 player co-op mode based on the "Archenemy" expansion that came out for the card game last year. 3 players vs 1 arch enemy AI that has oversized cards with special powers (unclear if humans will be able to take on the role of the arch enemy). Wizards have confirmed there is no custom deck creator (though its likely to have minor editing like the last one).
I just hope they allow you to build your own decks this time!! Or at least modify the prebuilt ones more!!
Great teaser, I hope it keep up with the name of the series. Something I saw in the end of this trailer is Steam logo, so I guess it will be available in downloadable version as well as box version.
I know absolutely nothing about this game or the history of this series, but that was an incredible trailer! Not just action, action, action, like most trailiers. But a story. I loved it!
First MTG was great, hoping from this even more :) Perhaps story allot more creatures/spells and etc..
the one thing your opponents couldn't do? does he mean play second fiddle to jace? without jace, gideon is just a target for my doom blade.
Is this one going to have a real story? Is this really coming out in Q3 of 2011? Also, I want to see some online 2v2.
