Lords of the Fallen - First Gameplay Trailer
Get a little insight into Lords of the Fallen's narrative and the title's approach to rogue gameplay, arcade-style combos, weaponry, and tactical combat in this seven minute gameplay trailer.
I'm loving the look of this one! Being a devoted Dragon's Dogma player, there are definitely elements of that in this game, as well as DA and Souls. When I get a PS4, it will definitely be on my must play list.
just found out about this today, the gameplay kinda reminds me of "The Wicher 2" and "Dark Souls" I can't wait for this game to come, it's right up there on my wish list, alongside "Dragon Age Inquisition"
From what I write everywhere is known to have a show in the fall. No specific date. You are not alone, I too would see something new but I think they will keep us in suspense until the very end :)
I believe in Polish developers. They can't do copy another game. Someone know something when we can expect release this game? I want to see at least one more gameplay before release date.
I agree with you it is definitely not a copy. I am waiting impatiently because I really want to play this :D
For me gameplay look great. Maybe I se a little similar to another game but only similar not copy. All games have his own story and character, Lords of the Fallen too. So all games is defferent and deserve to our attention. It's my opinion. I play on this game when release.
I dunno if u guys know who Dark Angels are (Space Marines 40k) but
their outfit and
weapons looks simular to this game...and the name...lords of the
fallen..theres a book of Dark Angels called lord of the fallen.or the
book the fallen angels..copypaste? ;) well not the whole thing but it
rly looks the
same..and the winged soldier on the cover page...CMON RLY? why just not make a game of the Drak Angels..???i hate when i see things like this..
It looks promising. It would seem that the game style is a lot like Dark Souls and Demon Souls, but its a good thing cause they were both great games. The one thing I noticed was that in 10min of game play you faced like 5 enemies which was slow, I hope you guys put more intense into the game play and more enemies to face, make it hard, people love challenge! Items upgrade, treasures , secrets, a lot of crafting and making your character special will make people fall in love with your game. Make them build their own hero and they will love your game :) Good story combined with intense game play and a ton of adventure and loot equals SUPERB ;) I wish you luck, hope you are taking our comments under consideration because in the end .. who is going to be your consumer :D
I think the style of fighting with a sword is like the witcher 2 you just have to dodge then hit again and again till you kill the enemy and i think that's boring
graphically it looks awesome. but the game looks easy and shallow. i just hope we wont see another RYSE...
Why doesn't anyone but Bethesda make first person "sword and sorcery" type games? I'm so tired of third person.
Anyway, hopefully the graphics are better on PC. Can't wait to see the review. Love games like this (just wish it was first person).
It's pre-alpha; nothing we just watched is final. Then again, some of it might be. Wait, watch, and see.
Looks promising, will definitely keep an eye on this as it is very reminiscent of Dark Souls and I absolutely loved that game... but I won't get my hopes up too much as I have become a very pessimistic old gamer.
Looks fuckin insane for pre Alpha. A few things though. For harder difficulties they should lessen the stamina bar as well as make enemies tougher, but i have a feeling they wanted it to be more accesible and easier to pull off combos. Im also not a fan of the constant cutscenes that show you a new enemy type, its distracting. Looks amazing though, im glad post Dark Souls that a dev making an action RPG's is putting effort in combat and animations.
TBH I did not find anything in that trailer that makes it a cut above other games. What is so special about it, really? It's sometimes a hard question to answer, even if very elementary in nature.
What is the one sentence line that differentiates this game from others, technically? Some examples would be: using water caustics to explore areas otherwise unable to reach. Using procedural generated parts to build your own armor and weapons in a customizable loot-fest type game. Using terrain destruction or manipulation as a means of conducting combat against a wide variety of elemental types. Or more casually, using balance to steer a ship throughout a wide variety of storms. I can go on and on here. It's like the 'thesis statement' of an essay, all good games have one.
What is the one liner for this game? All I see is good vs. evil, sin, heavy animation based fighting, but games like Kingdoms of Amalur, Diablo and others have done this already. What would I gain playing this game? I'm not trying to say this game is bad, but where is the "it" in it?
If Dark Souls had a VERY EASY MODE version in it, this would be it. Still, impressive graphics and animations.
It's nice to have so many new IP's you tend to forget some, it's a big difference compared to the last couple years.
@20years Its a demo, they didn't want to have to worry about living while just showing off some of the game, pretty standard in these kinds of things.
@saeculi_umbra @20years why not show how difficult it is, that's the whole charm of the Dark soul series. Even the developers showed that in a dev walkthrough for DS2. They didn't make the game easier in the demo? Doesn't make any sense lol. It's like a batman game without batman. Why not spend their resources on something else.
They said it would be accesible, which im totally fine with if the combat is already this good, but hopefully the harder difficulties are done right.
