Legend of Korra - Comic-Con 2014 Live Show
Chris is joined by the Platinum Games team to show off the Legend of Korra at Comic-Con 2014!
Got to agree with @PlatinumPaladin, it's too fast paced, particularly in water bending which is supposed to represent balance.
Right now the only thing that's bugging me is the pace at which Korra performs her attacks. I'd like some of them to be slower and more graceful than fast and furious as they appear to be here.
I guess the movements of Naga in that level annoyed me as well. The side-to-side movement simply wasn't natural.
That said, it's an Avatar game from Platinum. Get in!
Seems they used the boring format of "walk into an area, get hindered by invisible walls and get forced to clear out a bunch of enemies to move on"... Was expecting something better than that from Platinum Games.
Looks interesting, hopefully it won't end up being another licensed game tragedy. But then again Platinum games usually fail to disappoint.
It would be awesome if they actually use the bending to solve puzzels a la zelda. Like when your near a torch (so you can use fire bending) to solve a puzzel to open a door. Or something like that. Bear in mind I didnt watch the whole interview. Love what ive seen so far!
it would be great if they added avatar characters to this game since there were no avatar games last gen
Hmm I sorta wish they hadn't said it was coming out on steam... now I'm tempted to get it on my PC more than my ps4 :/
Though I do think this would feel better with a controller instead of keyboard and mouse.
Damn that guy speaks two languages like a BOSS! And this gameplay! It's completely orgasmic! I'M COOOOOOMIIIIIING
I'm gonna hate myself for saying this, But it looks great. Unfortunately though, activision is in charge and their licenced games haven't been good so far.
@b0sse Ultimately they have to obey the limitations set on them by Activision.
@nakx123 There's no way you own a gaming PC and are that ignorant.
Oh please, the keyboard and mouse excuse doesn't fly...find something else. You can actually use your ps4 controller with your PC or any controllers using usb or Bluetooth assuming there are drivers for them. Now if installing a driver for your PS4 controller seems too much of a challenge, just stick to PS4.
@nakx123 Why not get it on Steam and plug in a gamepad? Problem solved.
Are you being sarcastic?
Activision chose to work with them anyway. Activision still takes part of the blame.
Maybe you gobble up anything about the Avatar series, or anything by PlatinumGames.
I say that because you haven't even played the game yet, and you are already saying that it "looks good".
You are buying into the hype for this game.
@Gelugon_baat Yeah, I was watching a VIDEO of gameplay, ergo I said it LOOKS good. I didn't outright say the game WAS GOOD. Get some effing reading comprehension you ponce.
Oh sure, make a semantic defense. Well, if you are going to say that, you are quite a shallow person if you could be inveigled by a game from its looks alone.
@Gelugon_baat @Chr0noid 1. That's not a semantic defense in the slightest,. Again, reading comprehension. Learn to differentiate.
2. Shallow has nothing to do with it. I merely made an observation and inference based on what I saw. You are a ****ing idi0t for thinking I am a shallow person for making a positive comment on a gameplay video. Grow the f**** up.
Yet, I will still say that it is, because you haven't made anything to suggest that it isn't. In fact, you have mentioned something that it is a semantic defense, i.e. you said that it "looks good" instead of having said it "is good".
I am not an idi0t for having said that you are shallow. Rather, you have said that the game "looks good" and went all crazy with your statement. You are shallow, since you are so easily excited by something that you consider "looks good".
