@DarckArchon, to tell the truth, I felt the same way when I first saw the trailers and game footage for this. I actually knew about it, knew it was free, but didn't bother to download because of the graphics. But as strange as it may sound, the game actually looks alot better then you saw in the trailers. Once i found myself bored enough to try it, i was pretty surprised.... If my memory serves, this is the trailer that got me hooked http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzMnCv_lPxI
I know Graphics isn't everything, but i personally find HoN for being a more dark theme, and gives it a more Epic feel at first. LoL looks a bit, meh at first glance
@grokh, I've been playing for a long time, and I feel all chars are pretty well balanced and have a role to fit. If it doesn't kill, it's because it's not supposed to do so, but rather support others into doing so. If you have trouble coping with a certain hero, name it and I will give you a counter-hero and a 3 word way to kill it. I quit dota to play this, please trust my judgement and believe me when I say it's the best game of it's genre atm.(or until I can get my hands on dota2) @theMirrorsTruth, the heroes are already out there, it's just a new map and game mode, I don't see how it could be imbalanced.
next time riot try to impress with active accounts or every single f2p mmorpg could call 20million+ registered accs.
@theMirrorsTruth I'm pretty sure that Riot is making plenty of money with their giant user base and hosting 5 million dollar tournaments etc. How much do you think it costs them to throw a promo video on every top gaming site? This isn't harming development, it's promotion for more income. You can't expect complete balance in a game with so many champions and different combinations. There's always going to be players that exploit flaws and use them as an advantage till it's fixed. I don't see how people lose sleep over this game, if it's unbalanced and needs work, play something else till it's fixed.
Could work specially if Riot stops making characters that can tank, cc, dps, pursue, slow ,stun , push + i win button all into one.
So, for the sake of "Balance issues", you want Riot never to release any content anymore ? That's how it works anywhere. You must adjust to the players, who often find glitches that the dev doesn't.
I'm really glad Riot is spending their money and making sure LoL is plastered to the front page of all these gaming sites instead of spending their resources to release unique content. My guess is a September 20th release for Dominion. Even then, it will be riddled with balance issues. And forget they ever even mentioned spectator mode. What a doozie.
